Makers to HRH Prince Albert 30 King William Stt, London Bridge”, London proved, the frame engraved with scrolls and “Adams’s Patent No 5156 (R)”, number repeated on the cylinder, finely chequered walnut butt with steel cap having engraved sprung trap. Near Very Good Working Order and Condition, retaining nearly all original mirror blued finish on the barrel and frame (some wear to trigger guard, patch of pitting to cylinder); in its original green baize lined fitted oak case with replacement lid escutcheon, containing bag shaped copper flask by Dixon, 54 bore double cavity bronze mould with Adams 1851 Registration mark, brass mounted ebony loading rod with worm, pewter oil bottle, Joyce cap tin, and 52 bore wad punch. Generally Good Condition (some damage to lid and internal compartments). Plate 22

Eric Gill, British 1882-1940- "Hottentot", (Physick 172), 1920; publ. by Douglas Cleverden, 1929, woodcut, 24.9x11.2cm CONDITION REPORT: mounted in a glazed, ebonised frame the sheet is slightly ruckled, predominantly at the top right hand corner of the sheet this may suggest it is stuck down, but unexamined out of the frame there is a small patch of faint yellowed discolouration centre left, next to the top of the thigh, only visible on very close inspection no other visible damage or defects in good original condition
A Caucasian rug, the central medallion with rows of floral motifs on a dark blue ground within a red floral decorated diamond shaped border within cream, red, blue and madder repeating motif decorated border, 200 cm x 139 cm CONDITION REPORTS Wear, dirt, various areas where pile is missing, and various tears and losses which have been patch-repaired, various stitched repairs and colouring in. Overall a reasonably good amount of pile.
