A large interesting French 1930s teddy bear, possibly Fadap with golden mohair, clear and black glass eyes with unusual silver painted backs, pronounced clipped muzzle with black stitched nose and mouth, swivel head, jointed limbs with cotton pads, pointed hump and inoperative growler -22½in. (57cm.) high (missing one ear, slight general wear and thinning and patch to one foot pad)

(34cm.) high (two small holes patch on top of muzzle and very slight wear) - this bear is known as Harrieté

A Japanese cast iron onion shaped vase, Meiji period, applied with kudzu leaves and pods, with bronze patina. Height 31 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There is a 5 cm x 3.5 cm oval blemish beneath the leaves at the bottom of the vase. There are no signs of anything being attached to this blemish it may just be patch of discolouration. Other than this we cannot see any obvious faults or flaws. There are no character marks, inset silver marks or logos, it doesn't look like there ever as been. The vase weight 694.5 grams.
A pair of Japanese bronze vases, Meiji period, cast in relief with an ape clinging on to a leafy branch attached to a rocky outcrop whilst two others look on. Height 27.7 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Each vase has some surface marks and scratches though nothing to off putting. One vase has a slight crack/miscast to the foot rim at the rear and similarly the other vase has a small cast fault at the foot rim rear. Both vases have a slight discolouration patch on the waisted neck through handling. No other faults or flaws visible
A silver mounted tortoiseshell and leather desk blotter, London 1920, 23 cm x 29 cm, and a tortoiseshell and gilt metal mounted card case, 19th century, with gold coloured metal inlay and ivory aide memoir to the interior (old repairs), 11 cm x 8 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This is a tortoiseshell blotter with silver mounts. The front has very light surface scratches. There are no obvious splits or cracks to the tortoiseshell. The leather binding has a 6 cm split at the spine and is worn along the edges and corners. The interior cardboard and watered silk are loose and perished and require attention. The tortoiseshell cigarette case has a small section of the base missing and also to the top right hand corner of the base. The base has three patch repairs as it has been split in half. The top has a large split running from the right hand edge to the centre and also a further larger split running 3/4 of the length of the body and has small chips by the side of the crack.
A needlework pictorial and verse sampler, worked by Mary Jubb 1815, with verse "In All Misfortunes this Advantage Lies ...", large country house, the door worked "Jubb", flanked by pine trees with birds all above a large flowering vase flanked by a dog with a cow, butterflies and birds within a Vitruvian scroll border. 41.5 cm x 31.5 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: There is some slight bleeding of colours which will be visible in the images. There appears to be a reworked patch to the left of the left hand side tree above the lower bird and also to the right of the same tree almost directly opposite at the corner of the house and also slightly further down near the second branch. A further repair patch appears to the base of the right hand side tree at the base between it and the left hand side shrub. There are further repair patches beneath the house flanking the central floral vase and to the base of the floral vase left hand side and to the left hand side leaves. There is also a repaired patch to the right hand side of the text at the top between the bird and the scrolling border. The frame appears to be within the last 30 years, it is pine and it has small knocks but is solidly constructed.
Two portraits, gentleman and lady, both early 19th century, oils on canvas. 60 cm x 50.5 cm and 55 cm x 45.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There is a patch to the rear of the canvas on the female figure covering a repair approximately 3 inches below the top of the left hand shoulder. The same patch may also be covering a slender stress fracture to the canvas. It is a little difficult to tell. There is a further stress fracture to the canvas below the centre of the chin running for approximately 1 inch. The rear of the accompanying picture has a paper back and we cannot see the rear of the canvas there is however extensive overpainting to this picture suggesting various repairs.
An 18th century walnut veneered bureau, with slope front to fitted interior, with four frieze drawers with brass drop handles and lock escutcheons, with moulding below and raised on bracket feet. Width 91 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The top has small patches of what I would believe to be watermarks and a small ring stain and partial ring stains. The fall front has four patches surrounding the escutcheon. There is a further patch to the extreme right edge of the fall front. There is a 3 cm patch of veneer replaced to the right hand side of the fall front and a 4 cm detach of veneer missing from the top right hand corner side. There is a 4.5 cm repaired patch directly above the escutcheon on the carcass and a 1 cm square patch to the left hand side top right of the sloping carcass. There are numerous splits and veneer losses to the right hand side. The left hand side has veneers lifting and blistering and has age cracks. There is a 7 cm x 16 cm patch of veneer missing from the rear leg and moulding. There is a small patch of veneer missing from the outside left front bracket foot there is a 6 cm x 1 cm patch of veneer missing from the outside rear bracket foot. The outside right bracket foot has veneer lifting. Both front bracket feet have been repaired. Each drawer has handle hole patches. The stringing on the top drawer looks to have been replaced. The bottom drawer looks to have some water damage. The bottom drawer baseboards are all warped and water damaged. The interior fall front has a recent tooled leather writing surface inset into it. Both hinges are later and are framed by old repairs. The interior centre cupboard door has had a repair to its right hand hinge and there are signs of old hinge marks to its right hand side. Overall in tired condition but salvageable.
A silver gilt bowl, circular, raised on a fluted ring base, Birmingham 1964. Diameter 9.6 cm, 99 grams. CONDITION REPORT: The make is Turner & Simpson. The silver gilding to the centre of the bowl has been erased and it has been further erased to a patch on the exterior and also on the pedestal base but overall the silver gilt is 80% intact. There is no evidence of any dents to the main body. There is a little tiny nick on the interior rim but other than that the whole piece remains intact and dent free.
A gilt brass chandelier and four matching wall lights, with winged mermaid supports. Chandelier diameter +/- 66 cm, height excluding suspension 56 cm. CONDITION REPORT: One figure has a very tiny hole to the rear of its scroll but other than that I can see no obvious faults or flaws. Bearing in mind that this item is of recent manufacture the overall finish being a tarnished brass is the desired effect. Another of the figures has a small solder patch in the same position as the previous figures hole. Of the wall lights two of the figures have small solder spots at the rear of the scroll however again these were in my opinion done at manufacture. There are no obvious faults.
Anglo-French School, circa 1800 A View of a coastal town in the Caribbean, most probably Fort-de-France and Saint Pierre on the Island of Martinique, with Mont Pelée smoking oil on canvas 92 x 125cm (36 x 49in) Provenance: From a Kent country house Mont Pelée is known to have partially erupted in January 1792 when little damage was done to the local infrastructure - unlike its later full-scale eruption in 1902 when it virtually destroyed the town. The current church of Saint Pierre , which was partially destroyed in 1902, would seem to have been reconstructed on the towers seen in the centre of the present painting. Oil on canvas which has been lined. There is a tear in the upper right quadrant which has been secured from the reverse with a canvas patch, the paint along the tear have slightly raised edges. The rest of the paint layer is in a good condition, there are some areas of wear and abrasion in the thinner paint passages. There are scattered retouchings. The varnish is clear and even. There is some wear to the gilding on the frame.
William Hoare, RA (British, 1706-1799) Portrait of a gentleman, in a white lace stock, maroon coat and powdered wig oil on canvas, unframed 76 x 64cm (30 x 25in) Unframed. One old repaired tear to the right-hand side. Scuffed edges. Scattered paint losses along the bottom edge. Old stretcher bar marks can be seen from the front. Craquelure overall. Oil on canvas which has not been lined. An old tear at the upper right corner has been secured from the reverse with a canvas patch. There are stretcher bar marks around the edges. The paint craquelure has raised edges. There are a few scattered paint losses across the surface. The varnish is clear and semi matte. There is a layer of surface dirt.
Samuel Alken (British, 1756-1815) Two dogs fighting in a landscape oil on canvas 21 x 29cm (8 x 11in) Cleaned and revarnished May 1924. Old stretcher bar marks can be seen from the front. Oil on canvas which is not lined. There is a canvas patch on the reverse at the upper left corner which is reinforcing an old damage. There are a few scattered losses to the paint layer along the lower edge where the craquelure is slightly raised. There are minor undulations to the canvas and stretcher bar marks. The varnish is dull and yellowed. There is some wear to the gilding on the frame and few chips and losses.
An oak refectory table - 17th century, the plank top with re-entrant shaped corners, on square baluster outline legs and later central stretcher 74 x 205 x 69cm (29 x 80 x 27in) Some alterations to the stretchers, previously with outside stretchers. Patch repairs to the top and some timber losses at one end of the plank top.

A 19th century black & white pictorial 'Blanchflower Great Yarmouth' pot lid the transferred lid with base titled 'The Farm Yard' has a facial scene that includes various farm animals and side border ribbons with the wording 'Entered at Stationers Hall 1868', lid 3.75in. (9.5cm.) diameter.* Condition: Lid has restoration to lower part of the lettering YARM plus lid edge and flange below. Base is fairly good fit with only a small patch of discoloured crazing to one side of interior.

A rare Derby blanc de chine figure group of children at a peep show after the Sevres original. Modelled with a boy leaning against a magic lantern and a girl kneeling upon a rock to look inside. Incised 94 and with patch marks c1780, 18cm wide. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. There is a third figure lacking from the back of the group. Patches of old discoloured restoration throughout. Firing tears in the base.
A 20th century Sevres cabinet cup and saucer. With raised tooled gilding and enamelled with three portraits of ladies. Painted and printed marks, saucer 16.75cm diameter (2). Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Some gilt loss. Very minor chip to the lower handle terminal. Slight patch of fitting to the rear rim of the saucer. No repair.
A rare pair of Spode twin handled vases. Gilt ground and enamelled all over with flowers and with pearls to the rims. Unmarked c1820, 13.25cm (2). Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Hair crack to the rim of on with a small patch of gilding re touched on this area. Other slight patches of gilt loss. No other damage and free from repair.
