ENTERTAINMENT STARS AUTOGRAPHED. Two binders with a large quantity of newspapers and magazine cuttings and autographs from stars: Eddie Peabody, Nicola Pagett, The Peters Sisters, Lynne Perrie, The Peterson Brothers, Wally Patch, Elaine Paige, Pat Phoenix, Claude Powell, Donald Peers, Charlie Pride and many more.
Charles II (1660-85), silver Crown, 1662, first laureate and draped bust right, both ties emanate from an upper curl, rose below, legend and toothed border surrounding, CAROLVS . II. DEI. GRA., rev. inverted die axis, crowned cruciform shields, interlinked pairs of Cs in angles, garter star at centre, date either side of top crown, .MAG. BR.FRA. ET.HIB. REX., edge inscribed in raised letters widely spaced between grained borders, .DECVS. ET. TVTAMEN*, weight 29.88g (Bull 340; Broad AA.3; ESC 15A; S.3350). Toned perhaps a little artificially, some small nicks and marks, bust possibly with some striping or frosting on the drapery, a patch of light haymarking on reverse, otherwise a bold to good very fine. Provenance: Ex Mark Rasmussen Numismatist, Surrey, list number 21, Spring 2011, item 112.
Edward VII (1901-1910), Matt Proof gold Five Pounds, 1902, Coronation year, bare head right, De S. below truncation for engraver George W De Saulles, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, EDWARDVS VII DEI GRA: BRITT: OMN: REX FID: DEF: IND: IMP:, rev. St George slaying the dragon with sword, broken lance to lower left, tiny B.P. in exergue for engraver Benedetto Pistrucci, edge milled, weight 39.95g (WR 404; S 3966). Once polished, a few hairline marks, small patch of scratches in front of horse legs in reverse field, otherwise extremely fine. Provenance: Ex A H Baldwin and Sons Ltd, early 2006. HAMILTON MACALLUM (SCOTTISH 1841 - 1896) WATCHING FOR THE FISHING BOATS Oil on canvas, signed, 30.5 x 51cm (12 x 20") Condition Report: Generally the canvas is loose and there are very many light lines, denoting the beginnings of lifting and potential cracking in the pigment over the entire surface area. There is a thumb nail size indentation mark in the canvas close to the top right corner and a large patch verso corresponding to restoration work in the middle section of the figure in the foreground. There are two very small areas of paint loss positioned left and down from the figure in the foreground.
A SEVRES TRINKET BOX of square form, painted with floral sprays and gilded decoration, dated mark for 1773, 7cm, an oval Sevres patch box, a heart shaped Bilston enamel patch box painted with a sailing ship, and an oval Bilston enamel patch box 'In Memory of a Friend', 4cm (4) Condition Report: sevres square box - Lovely condition. Sevres oval box - pin replaced otherwise in lovely condition. Heart box - rubbed to the point of the yellow base and a crack in the enamel to the underside. Oval box - light surface scratches, otherwise lovely condition.

A Staffordshire Enamel Snuff Box, late 18th century, of rectangular form, painted with landscapes on a bianco sopra bianco ground, 5cm wide; An Enamel Oval Patch Box, the cover painted with birds and a nest, 4.5cm wide; A Blue Enamel Snuff Box, painted en grisaille with cherubs, 7cm wide; An Enamel Patch Box, of palette shape, painted en grisaille with the Swing on a faux tortoiseshell ground, 6.2cm wide; and A Sèvres Style Egg Shaped Box, on gilt metal stand, 11cm high (5)
Paris And Helen Leaving for Troy: An Early 19th Century Ivory Fan, with delicately carved and pierced monture, the gorge with a central carved cartouche of cupid, arrow poised to shoot, with a lady, and two further diamond vignettes containing winged cherubs. The boldly coloured double paper leaf shows Paris arriving by sea to take Helen, the wife of Menelaus, King of Sparta, with him to Troy, thus sparking the Trojan war. The verso, in cream, is decorated with elegant painting of leaves. Guard length 24cm. Together with a 19th century woven silk covered fan box lined in pink, gilded to the inside lid with ''J Duvelleroy, Paris, By Appointment, LONDON: 167 Regent Street 167. Some loss to the ivory on the guards, both may have been repaired at the shoulder. The leaf holds excellent colour but is very dry. Images show splits to the leaf. Verso shows at least one patch. Silk box fairly grubby but catch works well.
An early 19th century tortoiseshell and ivory two division sarcophagus tea caddy of waisted form, the hinged lid set with brass plate initialled EE, enclosing lidded compartments, on bun feet, height 13.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: 5mm x 2mm patch to front of lid, pewter stringing lifted in places, 4 x 4mm chip to one of lids.
A Victorian "Pinchbeck" Mourning Brooch with Swivel Photo Locket, containing Victorian photographic images; Together with A Bilston Enamel Style Patch Box Lid, in later ropetwist brooch mount (damage); a Victorian lozenge shaped mourning brooch set with a half pearl to the centre; and a mother of pearl brooch. A good pair of early 18th century walnut stocked cannon barrel pistols by Freeman of London, the carved figured walnut stocks with silver furniture including mask pommel, the barrel stamped 'Freeman London' with various proof marks, detailed engraving throughout, length of barrels 17cm, overall length 29.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Mechanism works on both, one with small chip above lock plate, the other with replaced section to rear of lock plate and also large patch repair to both sides of stock, internal pitting to both barrels, also minor surface pitting, some dents to face mask pommel, general wear throughout.
Kurdish 'boteh' runner, north west Persia, early 20th century, 15ft. 4in. X 3ft. 7in. 4.67m. X 1.09m. Some wear in places; small holes in the field; damage to lower right corner with a patch and crude repairs. Terracotta field with a splendid design of small multi-coloured boteh; triple camel and pale blue borders.
Sarab runner, north west Persia, circa 1920s-30s, 9ft. 9in. X 3ft. 2.97m. X 0.91m. Overall wear; small areas of repiling; 'bite' to top end; rewoven flatweave lower end; small hessian patch glued lower right side verso. Camel field with central pole medallion in shades of blue; bluey-green medallion main border and plain camel outer border.
Karaja kelleh, north west Persia, circa 1940s-50s, 13ft. 9in. X 5ft. 4.19m. X 1.52m. Patch to lower left side border and top left outer guard. Small areas of old moth damage to lower end; small split to field top end. Ivory field with all over shield shape medallions within a red floral main border. Robust handle.
A NEAR PAIR OF REGENCY WALNUT, BRASS AND EBONY INLAID FOLD OVER 'D' SHAPE CARD TABLES, green baize lined interiors, supported on baluster and ring turned columns to a shaped plinth with four scrolled and outswept legs with brass hairy paw caps and castors, width 92.5cm and 91.5cm, depth 46.5cm and 44cm, height 76cm and 75.5cm (2) (condition: extensive fading to wood)Condition: both tables are faded to the tops, one table has a small patch of veneer missing on the back right hand corner, both tables are ‘Smiling’, gap along front edge to a maximum of around 8.5cm on one and 8cm on the other, there is a split to the left hand side frieze just after the inlaid panel and the inlaid panel has been glued, there is also a split in the wood to the front right section of on frieze both , some of the brass inlay is lifting on the legs, the other table has splits in the top of the table and the veneered border has more splits around the outer edge, this table has an oval dot part way down each leg, left leg has been broken off and has a split into the rectangular base
A 19TH CENTURY WALNUT STAINED AND WALNUT JARDINIERE, with boxwood stringing, circular top fitted with brass liner and swing handle over slatted urn shaped frame, short turned pedestal to circular plinth with three spherical feet, diameter 38cm, height 43.5cmCondition: the brass liner is damaged and split in the base, extensive water damage to top rim and circular base, there is a brass repair to the underside of the top rim, a couple of the slats are loose at the top, the circular base has some gaps in the sections that make up the circle and the underneath of the base shows a patch of splitting
