Typical wear and tear commensurate with age, shrinkage and historic worm damage visible in places, but this does not detract. The top planks are old but may not be original to the cupboard. The front edge of the top has lost some definition and there is shrinkage in the planks. There is a small patch (26cm x 12cm) on the top, but barely visible. Inside, the bottom board is partially replaced as are the bottom side rails, with accompanying strengthening bars. The drawers and the fixed panels (top centre and bottom portrait panels) appear to be original, as do the upper doors, but the lower door is a replacement. The carving on the lower door is not such good quality.. On the back of the door are small nails around the edge where cloth would have been attached. The doors have probably been trimmed as there is a neat gap between the lock edge and the frame. The strap hinges appear to be original. The lock plates on the upper doors appear original but not on the lower door. Each side has two small and two large linenfold panels which are original. The back boards and stiles are original. The depth is 61cm.
