WW2 German ‘Flak Unit 981’ combat flag. NSDAP flag, printed cotton type, sewn white circle with swastika to both sides, bevo stitched Hitler Youth diamond patch & Luftwaffe eagle on white triangle to right corner of one side. Ink stamped to border edge FLK 981 (Flak-Abteilung 981). Retains zinc metal clip and rope length. Measures 72cm x 123cm.

WW2 German Hitler Youth/Jungvolk flag pennant. Two sided triangular pennant, face of light blue cotton base, with yellow embroidered T V W, with yellow border, incorporating a sideways H.J. woven diamond. Reverse white cotton, with red Allgemeine DJ patch, knight’s templar style cross & US pencilled names, ranks of the men who souvenired the pennant. Interesting piece, worthy of further research.

WW2 German SS tropical ‘Sahariana’ uniform jacket. Light-weight tan cotton twill, featuring a vertical, four button front closure with small fold back lapels and a lay down collar, with tropical aluminium NCO’s braid. The field blouse has 2 breast pockets with the unique, scalloped tipped, button down flaps. Left breast pocket shows un-marked Iron Cross 1st Class & Wound Badge in black. The shoulder yoke covers both shoulders and runs down over the breast and back panels with scalloped tips to the bottom edges, with two standard bellows pockets to skirt. Upper left sleeve has a second pattern machine woven, tropical SS sleeve eagle, with opposite sleeve with rare SS mountaineers qualification patch, both machine stitched to sleeves. Comes with a pair of UnterscharführerTransport shoulder straps with tropical aluminium NCO’s braid. The reverse of the collar has the typical, zig-zag stitching. The collar retains rank collar and SS tabs. Interior of the field blouse has a field dressing pocket with OD waist ties present. Shoulder width 42cm, Arm Inseam 46cm and waist 96cm. Introduced in late 1941, these were issued to the Waffen SS for use in tropical climates.

To the corner of both side is the original unit identification patch with crossed flags and 2/14 for the 2nd company of 14th Cavalry regiment for SA-Gruppe Sachsen.
