Signing up to Military Service with the Royal Engineers during the inter-war years and serving most of his time in India and the Far-east, when as acting-Captain Frederick Cook was shot & wounded ed in action and hospitalised during 1942 with a bullet lodged in his spine. Following an X-ray, this was considered too difficult to remove, and he was subsequently discharged back into service, continuing until he left the Military in 1961, and enjoyed further long and active life in retirement. The bullet was never removed even after further X-rays were taken in 1962. The original 1942 and 1962 X-rays are included in this lot. (-)

OMEGA-a gold plated manual wind gentleman`s Geneve wrist watch, the silvered dial with hourly applied batons, date aperture to three o` clock, round case fitted to an associated brown strap. Case diameter 34mm. Movement is currently functioning but would probably benefit from a clean and an overhaul, the case show signs of wear with light scratches, marks and tarnishing, the odd patch of discolouration is present and in some areas the plating looks to be wearing thin, the case would be ameliorated by a clean, the hands and dial look to be in excellent condition, with some of the black paint on the batons missing, but the glass bears some concentric crazing and will need to be replaced. A lady`s key wind fob watch stamped 14C, the gold tone dial with floral detail, black Roman numerals, scroll engraved case with unsigned movement with cylinder escapement. Case diameter 37 mm. Movement is currently working, movement is rather filthy and would be ameliorated by an overhaul, the movement shows some small areas of tarnishing around the edges, but in other respects looks to be in an aesthetically excellent condition with deep blue screws and highly polished ratchet spring, the case shows signs of wear commensurate with age, with a plethora of very light scratches, marks and tarnishing, the engraving looks to be pleasingly aged, very slightly rubbed but still clear, there is a small patch of green detritus but this would be likely to clean off, pendant bow is slightly loose, the dial and hands also look to be in a good condition, with some light areas of of tarnishing to the dial, the glass is dirty, but otherwise appears to be in a pleasing state with some very light chips around its edge. A 1930`s 9ct gold keyless wind Waltham full hunter pocket watch, the white enamel dial with black Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds dial, the personally engraved movement cover opening to reveal a signed movement. Case hallmarked Birmingham 1937 and marked Dennison. Case diameter 49 mm. Movement is currently functioning, but would benefit from an overhaul, the case is show signs of wear commensurate with age and material, with a multitude of light scratches, marks and tarnishing present, the majority of which appear to be superficial and therefore should polish out, please be aware that there is a personal inscription on the dust cover and if you wished this to be removed it would best be filled in, the pendant bow fits snuggly in the pendant with little slack, the dial and hands look to be in a generally good condition, if filthy, with the odd patch of what may be surface rust on the hands only mildly detracting from the overall look, the plastic glass is in a similar condition, trapping debris between it and the dial. An uncommon Bilston type oval enamelled Patch Box having beaten and enamelled depiction of a brown & white Spaniel reclining on a pink cushion. The lid with mirror silvering deteriorated and with external depiction of a naturalistic Rose & Forget me Nots. 1 1/2`` x 1 3/8`` high (some slight crazing, minor enamel loss and pin to hinge requiring replacement).
