:A RARE W. BARTRAM 'DOLPHIN' POWDER-FLASK, the charger graduated from 2 1/4 to 3 drams (charger spring missing, small split at the bottom of the body).

:A VERY RARE CHARGER SYSTEM ON AN UNMARKED COPPER AND BRASS POWDER-FLASK, POSSIBLY DIXON, (see Riling 1403, p. 421) with two suspension rings, the charger is graduated from 70 to 85 grains, retaining some lacquer (minor dent to base).

:AN UNUSUAL GERMAN WHEEL-LOCK SPORTING RIFLE WITH TRIANGULAR BORE, late 17th century, with 29in. octagonal sighted barrel chiselled with a band of beadwork at the breech, lock with pierced wheel-cover and cock engraved with a monster, characteristic full stock with inlaid decoration including bone dragons, grotesque masks, serpents, a lion-mask, a hunter armed with a spear and a bow with his dog, a scene involving a cloaked archer with two dogs about to shoot a running boar, and classically inspired mythical figures, all bordered by inlaid bone lines and interspersed with mother-of-pearl diamonds and engraved roundels, shaped engraved mother-of-pearl escutcheon opposite the lock, sliding patchbox cover engraved with a classical warrior surrounded by scrollwork, indented iron trigger-guard, engraved bone fore-end cap, and later bone-tipped ramrod (some scattered pitting to lock, some minor repair and replacement to bone inlay, butt-plate replaced); together with a horn priming-flask with integral iron wheel-lock spanner. NOCK, LONDON, circa 1820, 6 1/4in. overall, with turn-off barrel engraved with a band of foliage at the muzzle and numbered '5', signed action (top-jaw and screw replaced) engraved with a trophy of arms on each side, folding trigger, thumbpiece safety-catch also locking the steel, chequered walnut butt, silver escutcheon, Birmingham proof marks, in later lined and fitted mahogany case with powder-flask and iron bullet mould.

RIGBY, DUBLIN' (signature refreshed) and with bead fore-sight and rear express sight of four folding leaves calibrated to 200 yards, case-hardened breeches each with screw-plug and engraved with scrollwork on the rib, border engraved case-hardened tang and locks each signed 'JOHN RIGBY & CO.', figured walnut straight-hand half-stock with chequered grip (small chip above right lock), case-hardened mounts including hinged patchbox-cover engraved with scrollwork, border engraved chequered iron butt-plate, and trigger-guard engraved with scrollwork on the bow, silver shield-shaped escutcheon, and later wooden ramrod (one barrel-bolt escutcheon screw missing, case-hardening renewed throughout), in fitted brass-cornered mahogany case (lid cracked) lined with tooled pigskin, the lid with John Rigby & Co., London trade label, with some accessories including Sykes 'Extra Quality' leather-covered flask, Holland & Holland turnscrew and iron pincer ball mould, the lid with flush-fitting brass carrying handle and circular brass escutcheon, and further flush-fitting carrying handle on one end.

:A CASED 90-BORE ADAMS 1851 PATENT FIVE-SHOT SELF-COCKING PERCUSSION REVOLVER BY DEANE, ADAMS & DEANE, 30, KING WILLIAM ST.T, LONDON BRIDGE, serial no. 13,453R, circa 1854, 11in. overall, with blued octagonal sighted barrel, top-strap signed in full, serial numbered cylinder, blued frame, trigger and trigger-guard, chequered walnut butt, and some original finish, London proof marks, in relined fitted mahogany case with some accessories including Sykes powder-flask, a 54-bore brass mould for two conical bullets, and cap tin, the lid with reproduction trade label of Deane, Adams & Deane, the exterior with circular brass escutcheon.

Barlow Patent.

:AN 80-BORE DOUBLE-BARRELLED PERCUSSION PISTOL SIGNED EDUARDO MARTINS, RIO DE JANEIRO, mid-19th century, 9 3/4in. overall, with fluted sighted barrels with etched signature on the rib, foliate engraved tang and signed back-action locks, walnut half-stock, the butt carved with foliage in low relief with a panel of chequering heightened with silver pins on each side, scroll engraved white metal mounts, white metal pommel with hinged lion-mask trap-cover, and later ramrod, Liege proof, in modern fitted mahogany case with some accessories including powder-flask and pincer-type bullet mould.

CHESTER' and engraved with a band of foliage at the muzzle, case-hardened cylinder numbered from '1' to '5' and engraved with a band of foliage on the front edge, scroll engraved frame and grip-strap, the former with inspection plate on the left side engraved 'WEBLEY'S PATENT' and the latter serial numbered and engraved 'BY HER MAJESTY'S ROYAL LETTERS PATENT', varnished chequered walnut grips, pommel with lanyard ring, scroll engraved trigger-guard, and Kerr-type rammer mounted on the left side of the frame pivoting on the barrel-hinge screw, the barrel, frame and trigger-guard retaining some original blued finish (some flaking), the cylinder and hammer retaining some slightly faded case-hardened finish, London proof marks, in lined and fitted mahogany case (lining faded), probably original, with some accessories including Dixon powder-flask and original brass 'WD' single-cavity 60-bore bullet mould, the lid with shaped brass escutcheon.
