A gilt bronze and malachite ink set, 19th century, with a figure of an officer in uniform proffering a drink from his flask, a Napoleonic standard thrown down at his feet, flanked on either side by barrels containing ink wells, surmounted on a malachite base, length: 17.75., 7in The figure of the officer resembles the poet and Napoleonic War hero Denis Vasilievich Davidov, distinguished many times for his bravery. He was known as a political satirist and his works, such as Dream, occasionally caused controversy but he distinguished himself as aide-de-camp to Bagration in 1807. He was close to the Decembrists but did not take part in their rebellion.

William Peacock, Gunmaker, recorded at 110 Mount Street 1819, 32 Berkeley Square 1820 and 26 Duke St, Grosvenor Square 1821 to 1824.
A lat 19th to early 20th Century decanter, the mallet form base having a deep facet body rising to a facet shoulder and tulip form rim all set with a small ovoid flask form stopper, together with a facet form footed celery vase and a small 19th Century Uranium jar and cover of facet and fluted form, (3).

An early 19th century Artillery officer's horn priming flask, 7?" overall, with turned brass charger and base, the latter engraved "R R A/5B/C 84", with 2 brass hanging loops, having an interesting modification in the form of a hinge attached to the base allowing it to swing open for easy filling, and which is secured by the screw in hanging loop.
