A 16-BORE DOUBLE-BARRELLED PERCUSSION SPORTING GUN BY D. ANDERSON & CO., circa 1815, converted from flintlock, with 30 3/8in. rebrowned twist barrels with gold-inlaid decoration involving game birds and a dog at the breech and a silver-lined mark for 'BIRMM COMPANY'S PROOF' at each breech, silver fore-sight, foliate engraved tang, scroll engraved locks each with lined maker's stamp and stepped tail, well figured walnut half-stock (old chips to fore-end) with raised cheek-piece, chequered grip and fore-end, engraved iron mounts including scrolled trigger-guard, silver escutcheon and shaped barrel-bolt escutcheons, silver rear-ramrod pipe with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1813, and later wooden ramrod, in modern case with accessories including powder-flask and shot-flask.

A FINE AND UNUSUAL CASED PAIR OF FRENCH 40-BORE PERCUSSION TRIGGER-PLATE ACTION PISTOLS BY LE PAGE, ARQER. DU ROI, PARIS, serial no. 3155, dated '1828', 14 7/8in. overall, with blued rifled octagonal sighted barrels each signed 'LE PAGE ARQER. DU ROI' and 'ACIER FONDU' in gold, and each respectively numbered '1' and '2' in gold at the breech, case-hardened breeches, foliate engraved tangs each respectively numbered '1' and '2' in gold, trigger-plates each engraved with a martial trophy and signed 'LE PAGE A PARIS' in gold within a cartouche, spurred trigger-guards engraved with foliage, finely figured walnut half-stocks (one with small repaired crack) each carved with a shell in relief on the fore-end and finely chequered butt, and pommels carved with foliage in low relief with shaped foliate engraved cap, in original fitted brass-bound burr walnut veneered case (lid repaired) lined in green baize and tooled burgundy leather, with accessories including powder-flask with sprung charger, brass powder-measure, loading rods, loading mallet, and bullet mould.

A pair of early 19th century officer's percussion pistols. the flat locks with safety slides engraved Hamburger & Co, (both hammers with damaged thumb pieces), large bore round Damascus barrels with flat tops engraved London with some remaining colour, the false breech and tang engraved with foliate scrolls, fire-blued trigger guard with pineapple finial, full walnut stocks with chequered grips with silver blank escutcheon and barrel bolt ovals, captive swivel ramrods engraved with a flower head, in original mahogany case with brass corners and square flush fitting handle, lined in original green baize with the loading rod, nipple turn-screw with ebony handle, copper powder flask, bullet mould and cap box (2)17 ½ inches x 9inches (case measurements) pistols 13 ½ inches long. . Note. Hamburger & Co were London gunmakers at 30 Kings Street Covent Garden from 1812 -1826. . These were possibly the pistols of Captain Sir Hector Leith-Buchanan of Drummakill 17th Lancers 1833-1903
