Lot 595

A silver mounted spirit flask, London 1904. Height 13 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The gilding on the interior of the silver cup is good. The makers marks are clear however the lion passant is almost virtually erased but the leopards head is still visible as is the date letter. The silver appears to be good albeit tarnished with no signs of any dints or repairs. The lower section of the glass flask (where the silver cup covers) has a small bruise but this feels smooth to the touch. The remainder of the upper section of the glass is in relatively good order with only a very few minor flea bite nibbles on some of the faceted edges but these cannot be seen with the naked eye. The hallmarks on the top are good and clear. There is only one very small almost insignificant pinpoint size dint to the lid. The seam around the middle of the top is visible around 50% of it but again this is not visible to the naked eye. The top hinge is secure. The top twists and hinges as it should. It has a cork seal. The interior of the glass flask neck has tiny nibbles and there is one tiny rim chip. The wear and tear noted is rather minimal given its age.
