The nose cap removes to reveal a flask with nozzle and screw cap, container with lid, nest of 4 cups and toastmaster’s goblet with detachable stem concealing a corkscrew, lemon squeezer and strainer marked “DRGM 384384. Made in Germany”. Detachable gondola containing 2 (of) 4 spoons, tail fins forming upright stand. Length 23cm, diameter (max) 8cm. GC. (a little corrosion to strainer rim and flask nozzle). Plate.6
An Imperial German souvenir of Military Service spirit flask, of glass with plated metal outer casing, screw on pewter lid surmounted by an eagle, which acts as a cup, and coloured hanging cords, the sides decorated with coloured scenes of military life, overlaid metal trophy of flags, title of Regiment and dates 1903-1905. A Chinese famille rose moon flask late 19th century, the shoulders applied with moulded gilt dragon handles, each side with a large roundel, one enclosing figures, the other painted with a peacock, exotic birds and butterfly in abundant flora, all reserved on a gilt ground embellished with pink flowers and green scrolling foliage, the sides with conforming panels, some wear to gilt, no lid, 14in. (36cm.) high, 8½in. (22cm.) wide, handle broken and glued.
