A George III Silver Spirit-Flask, by Peter, Ann and William Bateman, London, 1802, slightly tapering and curved, the lower body with detachable cup, the threaded cover with threaded finial which threads into the stopper, 17cm high, 8oz 5dwt, 257gr. Fully marked under base of flask. The cup part marked. The side further marked with maker's mark only. There is some minor wear to the marks, though each is still legible. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use.

An Edward VII Silver and Leather-Mounted Glass Spirit-Flask, by Walker and Hall, Sheffield, 1902, the shoulder of the oblong glass body covered in black leather, the base with a detachable silver cup, with bayonet-mounted cover, 16cm high. Fully marked on cup and neck mount. The marks are generally clear. The cup further stamped with maker's name. There is some surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The leather is somewhat worn in place. The adhesive material which attaches the silver mount to the glass body has failed and the mount would need to be re-fixed.

JAMES DIXON & SONS; a George V hallmarked silver spirit flask and cup base, of curved form, Sheffield 1919, height 10.5cm, weight approx. 4ozt/130g.Additional InformationThere is a small knock to one shoulder and the cup base has two small dents to one corner but the cup base will still close flush to the flask. Clear hallmarks to the cup base and to the flask. Flask locks OK. A few slight marks to the lid.

A George V hallmarked silver spirit flask, Birmingham 1926, height 8cm, with a silver cigarette case and a vesta case, overall weight approx. 2.5ozt/90g, with a 19th century horn beaker, height 5.5cm.Additional InformationThe makers mark on the spirit flask is rubbed. A large dent to the lid and a couple of slight smaller dinks. The silver to the cigarette case is thin, with some splitting around the initials and many small knocks throughout. The hallmarks to the lid of the vesta are heavily worn. All items with age wear patina/tarnishing to surface. Horn beaker with a small rim chip.

A 19th century French Palais Royale style satinwood and cut steel mounted musical sewing box, the box with a mother of pearl inlaid oval panel and escutcheon and decorated with anthemion motifs, scrolls and swags, the interior with a central tray fitted with mother of pearl accessories comprising needle case, turned case with steel hook to the interior, steel pointed prick, scissors carved as two swans, shaped mother of pearl tool enclosing two flexible steel blades, quill, thimble, needle, two cotton winders with two others and a folding knife, flanked on either side by two steel sewing clamps within mirrored compartments, the back row inset with two embroidered pin cushions and two mirrored panels, one painted with a dog carrying a cherub in a basket, the other with a cherub in a manger, the underside of the lid with a mirror and floral paper border, the underside of the tray fitted with a small music box, on brass ball feet, height approx 10.5cm, width 27cm, depth 19cm.Additional InformationBoth side handles are lacking. There is a chip to the wood at the back right corner of the lid. Some old hair line cracks to the lid. The front left corner of the lid knocked. A few other small knocks at the back edge. The mirror to the underside of the lid has some spotting and age wear. There is spotting to all of the small mirrors in the fitted tray – some more so than others. The back right mirror is broken in four areas and with a small chip. The steel clamps with some light tarnishing / rusting. The needle case is lacking two of the Jewels to the lid and one to the base section. The turned case enclosing the steel hook lacking all of the jewel detailing to the bottom section and five to the upper section. The steel prick with surface loss to the gilt flower on the handle. Scissors lacking six jewels. The small case enclosing the two blades is lacking four jewels. Feather handle to quill lacking five jewels. The mother of pearl needle is lacking the tip. One of the wool winders lacking two jewels. At the front of the tray there is an aperture for a scent flask, this is lacking and the folding knife is a replacement. The two mother of pearl circular winders to the right and left corners of the tray may not be original. There are losses and knocks to the gilt paper of the tray. With mechanism key and lock key. The musical box is over wound and does not play.
