1920s silver hip flask of rectangular form, with engine-turned decoration and detachable cup, hinged cover with bayonet fastening (London 1925), Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company Ltd. All at approximately 8ozs, 13.2cm overall CONDITION REPORT General overall condition reasonably good with surface wear and scratching. Main body has major denting to front panel and both corners. Lower body also dented and scratched where cup fits. Cup in good condition with minor dents. Marks clear
A Victorian silver cigar case, George Unite & Sons, Birmingham 1889, curvilinear spirit flask with engine turned decoration, Sheffield 1955, 10.285toz, and two silver twin division cigarette boxes with engine turned decoration, London 1955, 14 by 9 by 4cm, and Birmingham 1949, 16.5 by 9 by 4.5cm, 26.39toz total weight of boxes. A large pottery spirit barrel inscribed "Gin" with metal tap, together with three further matching barrels of slightly smaller proportions inscribed "Gin", "S. Whisky", and "I. Whisky" (one lid lacking) CONDITION REPORTS One Whisky flask has chips to the top , cracks to the top. The lift-off cover has also got chips and is cracked right through. The second Whisky flask appears to be in good order. The lift-off cover has got chips to the underside. The small gin flask has got cracks and staining to the top. The lift-off cover is good. The large Gin flask has got an old Victorian crack running right down the back which has been stapled. The lift-off cover is OK. The large flask is 40 cm high, the smaller flasks are all 31.5 cm high.
A Victorian mahogany cased hydrometer by Buss of Hatton Garden, sold together with a small bakelite cased set of weights, a wooden mallet, a Wade Bell and Son whisky flask, a contemporary clock and barometer mounted to single board, an iron match holder modelled as a cat with hinged head, and a cast bronze roundel, with relief of a Roman soldier.
