Munster Fusiliers: silver, leather & crystal glass presentation hip flask. Hallmarked lower section engraved 'CSM J.O'Shea from the Officers of 'X' Company 1st Bn. The Royal Munster Fusiliers on His departure for West Africa July 1921'. Leather top section with solid silver ball hinged (twist to open) stopper. Sold with a letter to O'Shea from L/Cpl Eager transmitting the flask & thanking him for 'standing by me the way you did' when he took over the Company. Also included a postcard portrait of 9487 Sgt. John O'Shea DCM. (L/Gaz: 25.8.17. for bombing & capturing an enemy post at Wytschacte on 7.6.17.) With MIC & DCM card. Nice piece.
