A LATE VICTORIAN SILVER MOUNTED CUT GLASS SCENT FLASK OF TAPERED FORM, the hinged cover engraved with a monogram and enclosing inner glass stopper, silver hallmarked George Betjemann & Sons, London 1895, length 28.8cm, together with a Victorian leather dome top casket, the hinged cover with a gilt metal mount containing a circular jasperware style plaque, the blue silk and velvet lined interior fitted with three square glass toilet bottles and stoppers, width of casket 16.5cm x height 10.4cm (2) (Condition report: the flask cover flaps open easily, the tip of the tapered glass has been chipped on one facet, the leather on the casket has wear commensurate with age and use, some staining to the silk lining, one bottle is cracked and its stopper is chipped)

Antique Victorian 1850s percussion cap pepperbox pistol with six rotating hexagonal barrels, by English maker Charles Jones of 26 St James Street, London, "gun maker to H.R.H Prince Albert". Circa 100-200 ADA large heavy blown glass flask with globular body, long tubular neck, and flat base, with wheel cut banding over the entire body and neck, with a rolled rim. The straight cylindrical wheel-cut bands of alternating widths. A thin layer of iridescence is scattered over the piece.For similar see:Scatozza Horicht 1986, pp. 56-57, nos. 125-126, from Herculaneum, not later than A.D 79, Hayes 1975, p. 58, no. 144 published a similar bottle of unknown provenance and noted a parallel from a Neronian or Vespasianic grave at Histria Alexandrescu 1966, p. 219, pl. 101. Constable-Maxwell Collection 1979, p. 77, no. 125 may belong to this group, although it was catalogued with a later date.
