A Chinese, moon-flask, allover decorated in blue on a yellow ground, hand-painted on both sides with a blue pomegranate tree and flying bats on a rocky ledge surrounded by crashing waves with a surrounding band of floral motifs. Three top sections for inserting flowers (middle section the highest) and with two blue handles. Blue Chinese character mark to base within a square. Height: 26 cm, Width: 21 cm. In good condition.

Together with a WWII pair of medals comprising British War Medal and Victory Medal, with miniatures, awarded to Morris' father '24179 . SGT. S. P. MORRIS. RAF', in original postage boxes and envelope with letter, and flask. S.O. Aileen Bowen Morris was the first WAAF to be commissioned as an Intelligence Officer during WWII in 'Y Station', the intelligence collection sites used during the war. She was a fluent German speaker and later authored a novel based on her experience 'The Enemy is Listening'. She was awarded and MBE in the New Year Honours list in 1942.Provenance through the family.

A Birmingham made percussion boxlock pocket pistol, 6½” overall, turn off barrel 2¼”, with scroll engraved frame and walnut butt with vacant oval escutcheon, GWO & C (minor flaw to hammer nose); a small shell embossed copper powder flask, 4¾” overall, GO & C; a steel 70 bore pincer bullet mould (pitted); and a cap tin (AF) containing some lead balls.
