dating: about 1855 provenance: Belgium, Group of four round, smoothbore, turn-off, 8 mm cal. barrels. Frame of oval section decorated with beautiful floral motifs and wild boar on a gilded background, the spaces at the base of the barrels decorated with the same motif and number '56'. Grip with ebony grips scales richly sculpted with floral motifs in bas-relief, decorated en suite on the back. Lower hammer, ring trigger. In leather-covered wooden case with pierced and engraved brass mounts, with cartouche featuring monogram 'LD' at the center. Lined with burgundy velvet inside, and provided with powder flask, ramrod, bullet mould and capsule box. length 16 cm.

The neck decorated with a mask in the centre between floral motifs and with a roped frame. The lower part is very protruding, with nine pronounced ribs, each one roped. The rim decorated with bronze star-shaped rivets. Cylindrical. leather fuse. On the back two iron suspension rings. Very rare. This powderflask is photographed and described on the book 'Repertorio Storico degli Archibugiari Italiani' (B. Barbiroli), Clueb 2012, on page. 501, dated circa 1570.See also a similar flask in Charles Buttin's collection, illustrated on panel XIII no. 498. height 20.5 cm.

dating: circa 1600 provenance: Brescia, Body shaped as a truncated cone, flat on the back, decorated with longitudinal grooves in a thousand lines with thicker slats engraved with floral motifs on the front face (the upper right side with a restoration), all other sides including the fuse and the belt hook are engraved with floral and geometric motifs. The fuse base shaped as a truncated cone is worked in the same way as the body. Screw closure with hinge. Four suspension rings. See a very similar flask in 'Museo Poldi Pezzoli - Armeria II', Electa Editrice, Venice 1986 page 707, number 1173. height 20 cm.

An English porcelain navette-shaped scent bottle and stopper, possibly Chamberlain's Worcester, early 19th century, each side finely stippled in purple with Classical scenes of Cupid and putti in Arcadian landscapes, within a gilt banded border reserved with bead ornament, with a screw-top stopper, 11.5cm longCondition Report: Overall this handsome scent-bottle presents very well.  There is some very slight wear to the gilt foliate border which runs along the edges of the flask (this is very minor indeed, and not very noticeable), and there is some wear to the edges and rim of the gilt stopper.  In addition, there are some minute scratches to the purple scenes – these are also minor.

A George III Long Sea Service Flintlock Pistol, the 30cm round steel barrel with Tower proof marks, the double line engraved lockplate stamped with crowned GR and crowned 2, with TOWER across the tail, the walnut full stock with brass ramrod pipe, trigger guard, side plate and butt cap which is stamped 4 to the right side, the left side set with a steel belt clip, the stock stamped behind the barrel tang with a broad arrow over BO, and with various inspector's marks including in the ramrod channel, with brass tipped wood ramrod, 48.5cm; a Copper Powder Flask, stamped with a stylised shell/anthemion, with brass charger and external steel spring (2)1 - Action works, holds at full and half cock. Barrel has been cleaned. Minor bruising to stock, with no splits or repairs. No metal parts missing. Generally in good condition. 2 - Powder flask with soldered seams.

Chatterley & Sons, Birmingham, 1968. Of curved rectangular form, with engine turned design to body and vacant cartouche to one side, designed with a screw cap, 9 x 13.5cm approx. weight 7.7ozt Condition Report: The hip flask is in good condition commensurate with age. Some general surface scratching and nicking but no damage or repairs noted. Some minor bruising in places commensurate with light use. When tested with water, no leaks to body but when shaken vigorously some small drops escaping from under cap. Cork is present inside cap but shows some wear and minor losses which may be the cause of the minor leak. Small ding to cap. Cap opens and closes securely and snugly. Hinge in good condition. Some scratching to panel beneath cap. Hallmarks generally clear, with only date letter slightly rubbed. Overall a nice hip flask in good condition.
