HENRY NOCK, LONDON A FINE CASED PAIR OF 26-BORE FLINTLOCK DUELLING-PISTOLS, no visible serial numbers, circa 1785, with swamped octagonal 10in. barrels, dove-tailed bead fore-sights, no provision for rear-sights, gold poincon inlaid at rear of barrels marked in raised letters 'NOCK LONDON' together with a crown, plain gold band and an engraved band to the patent breeches, gold lined touch-holes, fully engraved top-tangs, colour hardened bevel-edged locks with stepped tails and signed 'H. NOCK' below the semi rain-proof pans, roller frizzens, swan-necked cocks, walnut full-stocks with chequered bag-shaped butts featuring smooth central slab panels, guarded set triggers fitted with later finger-spurs, iron furniture and horn-tipped ramrods, both pistols with light cleaning to barrels otherwise in remarkably untouched condition and complete with their maker's walnut storage case lined and compartmented with coarse green baize (some small renewals) and containing all the original accessories including a scissors ball mould, a loading and cleaning rod and a lozenge bodied powder-flask together with other period sundries, the inside of lid with trapezoid parchment trade label explaining Nock's patent breech, the outside with flush fitting 'D' shaped handle to lid and hook closure.
FORMERLY THE PROPERTY OF SIR BENJAMIN D'URBAN JOSEPH EGG, LONDON A GOOD, CASED 14-BORE SINGLE-BARRELLED SPORTING-GUN, serial no. 2372, circa 1835, with browned triple-stage 32in. barrel, the top-flat signed in script 'JOSEPH EGG, PICCADILLY, LONDON' (rubbed), bead fore-sight, borderline and scroll engraved breech-block with white-metal vented plug, border and acanthus scroll engraved top-tang, borderline, scroll and gamescene engraved bar-action lock signed 'JOSEPH EGG, LONDON', slab-sided dolphin headed hammer, walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist, iron furniture, twin barrel keys with white-metal escutcheons and brass mounted mahogany ramrod, complete with its maker's walnut storage case, compartmented and lined in green baize and including a good Hawksley basket-weave pattern powder-flask, a powder measure and a wad-punch.
ADAMS, LONDON A CASED 54-BORE PERCUSSION REVOLVER, MODEL 'ADAM'S PATENT', serial no. 31063R, circa 1858, with octagonal 5 1/2in. barrel, dove-tail for fore-sight (loose but present), standing notch rear-sight to the back of the solid top-strap, wingnut cylinder pin release, plain five-shot cylinder with matching number, borderline engraved frame with sliding safe to the right hand side and engraved with a monogram 'W.H.A', double action mechanism (operating on double action only), spurred hammer, chequered walnut saw-handled grip, domed iron butt-cap and guarded trigger, the left side of barrel fitted with a Kerr-style rammer, strong traces of blued finish remaining and complete with its oak storage case, lined and compartmented in green baize (some mothing), 'E.M. Reilly & Co.' trade-label inside lid and complete with a James Dixon lozenge flask and pewter oil bottle, an unsigned double cavity mould, an adams suede pouch for caps, ebony cleaning rod with mahogany bun handle and a small ebony turn-screw, all probably original to the revolver.
A VERY RARE CASED 50-BORE PERCUSSION 'HAMMERLESS' REVOLVER, MODEL 'PENNELL'S PATENT', no visible serial number, circa 1855, with blued octagonal 5 3/8in. barrel, crescent fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight at back of top-strap, screw barrel-catch, plain cylinder of transitional revolver form with Birmingham proofs, two-piece frame engraved with borderlines and scrolls on the receiver and the top of action, safety-stud on the left side together with a belt-hook (possibly added), enclosed striker, scroll engraved top-tang and trigger-guard, moulded iron butt-cap with central scroll engraved trapdoor with void for caps, finely chequered one-piece walnut butt stamped around the base on both sides 'W. FINDLAY', vacant silver rectangular escutcheon to rear, Kerr-type rammer mounted to the left hand side of barrel, much finish remaining bar an older re-finish to the frame, complete in a period oak English market case, relined and compartmented for this revolver in green baize and including a fine James Dixon bag-shaped flask, a brass bullet mould and a cap-tin.

PRINCE ALBERT) 30 KING WILLIAM ST'T LONDON BRIDGE', dove-tailed fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, borderline and scroll engraved solid frame (much finish remaining), plain five-shot cylinder (cleaned of finish), spur-less hammer, guarded double action only trigger and chequered walnut semi saw-handled grip with domed grip-cap and central trap-door and complete with its probable original oak case, relined and compartmented in green baize, the lid with original trade label re-applied and containing a number of period accessories including a matching number mould, a powder flask, nipple-key, turn-screw, oil bottle, bone nipple-pot and cap-tin, lock closure (missing key).
CHAUMONT, LIEGE A MAGNIFICENT CASED PRESENTATION 120-BORE PERCUSSION EIGHTEEN-BARRELLED PEPPERBOX REVOLVER, MODEL 'MARIETTE'S PATENT', circa 1845, with plain round etched damascus turn-off 3 1/8in. barrels (six nipples absent), each of the 18 barrels numbered near turn-off and screwed onto a detachable plate inlaid around the border with gold and white metal arabesques, the whole released via a knurled nut to the front centre, full gilt and white metal wire scroll inlaid nipple guard with ejection port to underside, rounded oval cross-section double action only hammerless action engraved throughout and inlaid with gold and white-metal scrolls, the left and right side featuring an oval panel bordered by a gold band containing a gamebird also in gold, the top with a complex gold and white metal bordered panel signed in gilt 'M.J. CHAUMONT, FOURNISSEUR DU ROI DES PAYS-BAS' (Supplier to the King of the Netherlands), further gold and white-metal arabesques inlaid to the top-tang, deeply fluted walnut grip also carved with vines and running scrolls, carved and moulded diamond-shaped spire pommel inlaid with gold borders, guarded trigger with spurred trigger guard inlaid with a gilt hunting dog, much of the engraving on a stippled ground, the revolver in fine condition and complete with its maker's ebonised wood case, the lid and sides strung in bone and white-metal bands, the interior fitted out in the continental style in red velvet (much now faded) and including the original three-way flask and combination tool and mould..
