A pair of 19th Century Worcester Aesthetic moon flask vases, the first decorated in relief with a roundel portrait of a Japanese lady wearing an elaborate hair piece, the second with a Japanese gentleman wearing a purple hat, both with stylised Japonesque birds to the back against an ivory white and gold speckled ground, the affixed stands with gilt and patterned detailing, he marked to the base, height 21.5cm, both stands, A/F.
A Victorian silver hip flask, London 1869. Height 12.5 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The screw down cap seems to operate as it should. There is an old soldered repair to the band that the top swivels in. The swivel top is worn at the extremities. There is a suggestion of a soldered repair where the top of the flask meets the shoulder of the bottom section of the lid. The main body of the flask is in good condition with no significant dents or any splits to the seams. The hallmarks to the top and bottom section are identical and only slightly rubbed but fully legible. The makers mark and lion to the section concealed by the base is legible but rubbed. There are no visible hallmarks to the lid. There does not appear to have been any engraving or erasings. The weight is 157 grams.
A 19th century Chinese moon flask, decorated with dragons in relief. Height 22 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There is a 2.5 ins section of dragons whisker missing from the front and there is a 3 mm section of dragons whisker missing on the reverse. There are small factory flaws to the rim and a firing crack through the centre ring of the moon flask.
