A cased pair of officer's .700" percussion holster pistols of Charles Pearson, 4th Dragoon Guards, by James Wilkinson, London, 15" overall, lightly browned round twist barrels 9" with fixed rearsights at breeches and engraved "Wilkinson, London", scroll engraved bolted locks with maker's name, walnut fullstocks with horn fore end caps, chequered butts and silver barrel wedge plates and escutcheons engraved with crest, engraved steel mounts including trigger guards with stylised pineapple finials and butt caps with hinged traps; swivel ramrods. A good cased 5 shot 54 bore Adams Model 1851 self cocking percussion revolver, 11" overall, barrel 6¼" engraved on the top flat "Deane Adams & Deane (Makers to HRH Prince Albert), 30 King William Stt, London Bridge", the frame engraved with scrolls and "Adams's Patent No 4727R", the cylinder also engraved No 4727R; chequered walnut butt, the butt cap with shell engraved hinged trap. Very Good Working Order and Condition, retaining 95% of original mirror blued and colour hardened finish (some wear to buttcap). In its fitted oak case, with circular brass escutcheon in the lid, containing maker's trade label "To HRH Prince Albert", Adams 1851 marked double cavity bronze mould for bullet and ball with integral tail, bag shaped copper flask by Dixon (minor dents), nipple key with pricker, turnscrew, loading/cleaning rod with concealed worm, tin of lubricating composition, Joyce cap tin, modern wad punch, and a tool for piercing the wads. Lang, 11" overall, octagonal barrel 4¾" engraved "J Lang, 22 Cockspur St, London", London proved, the chambers numbered 1 to 6 on the face of the cylinder; finely scroll engraved frame with off set hammer for sighting, continental style fluted varnished walnut butt with shaped steel butt cap. Very Good Working Order and Condition, retaining most original mirror blued and colour hardened finish, in its original green baize lined fitted oak case with circular brass escutcheon to lid, containing good small shell embossed copper flask, 100 bore steel pincer mould, loading/cleaning rod, turnscrew, pewter oil bottle and cap tin. A fine cased pair of 38 bore percussion duelling pistols by Joseph Manton, number 4643, originally flintlocks of 1808, 15" overall, heavy octagonal browned barrels 10" with new breeches fitted at the time of conversion, the engraved breech tangs incorporating rearsights, flat detented locks with safety bolts and typical flat sided hammers, engraved with fern tip borders, scrolls and "Joseph Manton London"; walnut halfstocks with horn fore end caps, silver barrel wedge plates and silver escutcheons engraved with crest; mirror blued steel mounts, the trigger guards with pineapple finials, the bows engtraved with trophies of arms and serial number; horn tipped wooden ramrods. Near Very Good Working Order and Condition, the metalwork retaining much original finish, (one trigger guard slightly mis-shaped); in their original green baize lined fitted mahogany case, wtih flush folding handle in the lid and central escutcheon engraved with the same crest as on the pistols, containing 3 way leather covered brass flask, ebony loading/cleaning rod, leather faced mallet with detachable handle, steel pincer mould numbered to the pistols, octagonal steel oil bottle, chamois leather bag of bullets, and key to the case. A good cased 6 shot 54 bore self cocking bar hammer percussion pepperbox revolver by Cogswell, 8½" overall, barrels 3½" with London proofs, scroll engraved frame, hammer and trigger guard, the top strap engraved "Cogswell, 224 Strand, London", finely chequered bag shaped walnut butt with vacant rectangular German silver escutcheon. Good Working Order and Condition, the engraving crisp, retaining some original colour hardened finish to frame; in its original purple velvet lined fitted mahogany case with brass escutcheon to the lid, containing a good 3 way copper flask by Sykes, 60 bore steel pincer mould, loading rod and turnscrew, wad punch and a cap tin. A rare cased 5 shot 48 bore 3rd model Webley longspur open frame single action percussion revolver, 12½" overall, octagonal barrel 6¾" engraved "Blissett, Liverpool", with rammer on left side; Birmingham proved; the chambers numbererd 1 to 5; the frame engraved with scrolls and "Webley's Patent" in panel, the backstrap engraved "By Her Majesty's Royal Letters Patent" and numbered 1460; chequered walnut grips; the butt cap with loop for lanyard ring. Good Working Order and Condition, retaining much original blued finish to barrel and traces of colour hardening elsewhere; in its original green baize lined fitted mahogany case with shaped escutcheon in the lid and trade label of Blissett & Son, South Castle Street, Liverpool, containing single cavity 48 bore brass mould, good bag shaped copper flask, cleaning rod with jag and worm, nipple key with pricker, turnscrew, cap tin, tin of Tranter's lubricating composition, pewter oil bottle and bag of bullets. Very Good Working Order and Crisp Condition, retaining nearly all original blued and colour hardened finish, in its original purple velvet lined fitted oak case, with circular brass escutcheon in the lid and maker's trade label of "Joseph Lang, Gun and Rifle Manufacturer by appointment to His Majesty the King of Holland", containing good shell embossed pistol flask retaining virtually all original lacquer, 110 bore steel pincer ball mould with rammer to one arm, turnscrew, nipple key, loading/cleaning rod, turned bone box for spare nipples, and Eley Bros cap tin. The 21st Regiment of Foot, Royal North British Fusiliers, Engraved Cow Horn Powder Flask, early nineteenth century, the body inscribed 'Jn,o Wallace, No 257, 21 R.N.B.F.' to a shield supported with a fusilier and sailor in period uniform, profusely decorated, with ships, drum and cannon, and a poem 'The brave poor sodger ne'er despise, Nor count him as a stranger, Remember he's his countrys stay, In day and hour of danger. During the Seven Years War and the American Revolution, the 21st Regiment saw service in Florida, Canada, and western New York. After recovering back in England, the Regiment was sent to Italy to hold the front against Napoleon, making a trek to Egypt in 1806. After Napoleon went to Elba in 1814, the 1st Battalion was sent to America to quell the war declared by Congress. and initiated by the American Army attacking Canada. as part of General Ross' troops, they were part of the third Brigade, which included the Royal Marines and landed sailors, which saw action at the Battle of North Point. The 3rd, 5th and 7th Companies were later sent to Washington, arriving just as President Madison his Senators and Generals were leaving, and were then involved with the burning of the White House and the eating of the Victory Dinner set on tables inside. Three Cut Glass Decanters with stoppers. A square waisted engraved OCEANA whisky decanter. A Silver Plated Breakfast Dish Circa 1900 with a pivoted wrythen fluted hemispherical lid, cut glass lining dish and four scroll legs terminating on claw feet, stamped W BRIGGS & Co Sheffield, 5½ ins (14 cms) high, 6 ins (15 cms) in diameter. A pewter hip flask and a brass napkin ring.
A late 19th Century Stevens & Williams "Transparent Cameo" decanter and stopper by Joshua Hodgetts c.1897, the compressed ovoid flask form body rising to a collar neck with applied white metal collar below a tear form stopper. The whole cased in deep green over clear crystal and cut back with a running vine with large passion flower between classical scroll work borders, height 28.5cm. ILLUSTRATED. A set of three early 20th Century Bohemian spirit flask in the Secessionist style by Julius Mühlhaus at Haida, each of stepped cylindrical form rising to a drawn tear form stopper with spherical terminal and each individually cased in ruby, blue and green and flash cut with a repeat linear and panel design, tallest 25cm.
