Frame has capping cut out and is stamped - COLT'S PATENT. Square back brass trigger guard and backstrap with two piece walnut grip. Frame, barrel, barrel wedge, trigger guard and backstrap all stamped 985. In an associated fitted mahogany and boxwood-lined case with an early Colt-style powder flask, bullet mould stamped - COLT'S PATENT. Nipple key, box of Eley percussion caps, quantity inert paper cartridges and balls and a pewter oil bottle, 22cm overall

VICTORIAN SILVER HUNTING SANDWICH BOX in original leather case, together with silver tapering hunting flask both Sheffield 1894 Walker & Hall, and both with presentation inscription to W.J Buckley Esquire 18th April 1895. (2) CONDITION REPORT: Both have minor dings and dents as expected. The flask, particularly the top hinge is loose with slightly more significant dents and dings along body and top. Hallmarks clear. Parts of the inscription are slightly worn. Surface wear and scratches as expected, although no other major significant damage or losses. Original leather bag in fair condition, although used and worn.
