A pair of early 19th century double-barrelled percussion holster pistols by Westley Richards, New Bond Street, London, with 16.5 cm damascus barrels, engraved side plates and trigger guards, walnut fullstocks with hatched grips and swivel ramrods, locking hammers, 31 cm long overall, in fitted mahogany case with brass folding handle, c/w powder flask, shot-holder, percussion caps, bullets and bullet-mould, screwdriver and spanner with mahogany handles, clamp, cleaning rod etc, the barrels with matching numbers '334' and crisp proof marks very good and original overall, the barrels displaying normal patination of age although undamaged, both numbered '334', both engraved makers name to centre, lock plates engraved named to both sides, minor rubbing/light abrasion/contact marks to grips/stocks, minor splitting around trigger plate, another near rammer but we consider these minor and again, commensurate with age and type, the hammers/triggers strong and functioning well, the box well fitted including tools, lead balls/shot etc

Owen Fowler Esq by the Nurses and Servants of the Fever Hospital, as a mark of their affection and esteem' dated 1st October 1883, approx 215 gms.Note: Charles Owen Fowler Assistant Medical Officer to London Fever Hospital Islington. He held the post of Deputy Coroner of Croydon for 18 years. Chairman of Public Health for 3 years; Chairman for Borough Isolation Hospital for 4 years and Justice of the Peace.
A superb quality silver gilt Victorian scent flask CONDITION REPORT: Horton & Allday, Birmingham. The date letter is rubbed. The piece appears to be in very good condition with only very minor surface wear. There is no inscription. The cap screws off, I do not believe there was ever a stopper.
