WILKINSON & SON, LONDONA CASED 54-BORE PERCUSSION REVOLVER, MODEL 'ADAMS' PATENT', serial no. 35496R,circa 1858, with blued octagonal 5 1/2in. barrel, the top-strap signed 'WILKINSON & SON, 27 PALL MALL LONDON', borderline engraved solid blued frame with sliding cylinder lock on the right hand side, re-blued five-shot cylinder, spurred hammer, guarded trigger and semi saw-handled chequered walnut grip, the whole retaining the majority of its original blued finish except where noted and complete with its maker's walnut case lined and compartmented in green baize, Wilkinson trade label inside lid and containing an un-numbered brass Adams type mould, a bag-shaped flask, a turn-screw, cleaning rod, oil bottle, nipple-pot and wad punch, all apparently associated (case lid detached).
