Good Working Order and Condition (front ramrod pipe missing, barrels lightly pitted overall); also a good 36 bore percussion underhammer walking stick gun, browned twist barrel 32¼Â” with London proofs, action engraved “Edwd. London Gun & Rifle Maker, 51 London Wall, London”, walnut handle with thread for attachment of shoulder stock, the hole filled by an engraved screw when not in use, together with its nicely figured and polished stock with engraved steel mounts and an interchangeable 7” browned twist barrel; all contained in a green baize lined fitted mahogany case, the lid with a large brass escutcheon engraved with a crest, containing a 30 bore pincer mould, plain bag shaped copper flask, nipple key with pricker, turnscrew, good quality shot flask with German silver charger, mainspring clamp, barrel key/ nipple key for the walking stick gun, Kynoch cap tin, cloth wad bag, etc. The whole in Good Clean Condition Plate 41

A cased 5 shot .31” Colt Model 1849 Pocket percussion revolver, barrel 4” with New York City 2 line address, number 106984 (1855) on all parts (the barrel wedge un-numbered), with clear stage coach scene on cylinder, silver plated trigger guard and backstrap, and plain varnished grips. Good Working Order and Condition, with faint traces of original blueing to barrel; in its maroon velvet lined mahogany case, containing brass bullet and ball mould (battered), American eagle embossed brass flask (some dents), a tin for U.M.C central fire percussion caps, and the key to the case. Working Order and Clean Condition, retaining approximately 75% or original blued finish (action requires minor attention, one nipple AF); in a well fitted maroon velvet lined mahogany case with reproduction Deane, Adams & Deane trade label, containing Robt Adams marked double cavity 54 bore bronze mould, Hawksley flask (spring replaced, file marks to top), nipple key, cleaning rod, pewter oil bottle, tin for Armstrong & Co percussion caps, some loose bullets, and key to the case. A cased 6 shot Lang type 54 bore open wedge frame single action long spur transitional percussion revolver by J Beattie, 13” overall, octagonal barrel 6” with Regent Street address and patent rammer on right side, with reciprocating cylinder, scroll engraved frame, trigger guard and buttcap with trap, and finely chequered walnut butt with vacant escutcheon. Good Working Order and Clean Condition, with traces of original finish; in its original green baize lined fitted mahogany case with brass escutcheon, containing maker’s trade label (worn), nipple key, loading/cleaning rod, pewter oil bottle, later cap tin, reproduction flask and key to case. A pair of 24 bore flintlock duelling pistols by Spears of Berwick, c. 1785, 14½Â” overall, signed and sighted octagonal barrels 9¼Â” with London proofs, one with Irish registration number on top flat; signed line engraved stepped locks with flat swan neck cocks and rollers on frizzen springs; walnut fullstocks with flat sided rounded butts, vacant silver shield shaped escutcheons, and steel mounts including French style trigger guards with pineapple finials, fore ends inset with small steel plaques numbered “1” and “2” (later additions ?); horn tipped wooden ramrods. Good Working Order and Condition (minor bruising to stocks); in a relined fitted maroon velvet lined mahogany case, the lid inset with silver plaque engraved with crest within roped border, containing a steel 36 bore pincer mould, a leather covered 2 way flask, horn handled turnscrew, and some flints and balls. A pair of 24 bore flintlock duelling pistols by Wogdon, c 1780, 13¾Â” overall, signed and sighted octagonal barrels 9¼Â” with engraved beaded bands at breeches and gold lined touch holes; signed, line engraved stepped locks with safety bolts and flat swan neck cocks; plain walnut fullstocks with small flats to rounded butts, and with engraved steel mounts including trigger guards with set triggers and acorn finials, and small domed butt caps; one ramrod with screw off steel powder measure and steel worm, the other plain with horn tip. Good Working Order and Condition, the barrels bright, mounts with traces of original blued finish (light pitting around touch holes, one cock a good replacement); in their fitted green baize lined mahogany case with folding brass handle in the lid, containing a steel 36 bore pincer mould, a later bag shaped copper flask (dented, spring missing), a wooden cleaning rod with ball extractor, and some balls and flints.
