A Carved Early 17th Century Powder Flask inset with an engraved bone oval panel either side depicting a portrait of a head, & a face mask, and having a pen-worked bone nozzle with bifoil stopper and rectangular base engraved with a crested shield on a ground of imbricated leaves, 6 ins (15 cms) in length, 4 ins (10 cms) wide, 1½ ins (4 cms) deep.
A Cambridge University silver medallion, detailed Trial Eights and to the rim, No 1 J.P. SOWERBY. TRINITY HALL 1865, cased, a silver plated metal mounted spirit flask, a 9ct gold mounted cigarette holder with a case, nine one pound notes, D. Somerset issue, a ten shillings note, a brooch designed as a sword, a pendant designed as a bird and a plated chamber candlestick, with a snuffing cone.
A .44 Remington 1858 Army black powder percussion revolver by Uberti s/no. 139351. The revolver is fitted with fixed rear sight but comes with adjustable rear sight as well. Oveall in excellent condition and includes brass powder flask, balls, wads and caps. This item can only be purchased by someone with a current valid firearms certificate with permission to acquire or an R.F.D.
A Mappin & Webb large silver hip flask, Birmingham 1932, 322 grams. Height 15.7 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The flask is in extremely good condition. The hinge is tight and the top closes and locks as it should. The body of the piece is in extremely good order with no significant issues other than very minor blemishes. The full hallmarks are clear and legible. The partial hallmarks to the collar below the stopper are legible but slightly rubbed. There are no engravings.
A Victorian coromandelwood vanity case, the silver topped accessories with London hallmark for 1869, with lift out tray, mirror and Bramah locks. Width 28.5 cm, height 13.5 cm, depth 17 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This box has unfortunately suffered from some water damage. The top rectangular panel although complete has lifting veneer to the left hand side and approximately 30% of the polished surface is missing. The veneer is also rippled in places and there are stress fractures across the top. The remainder of the casket itself is in good, untouched, original condition and all brasswork is present. The interior hinges are in good order. The mirror plate is in good condition as is the leather surround. The lift out tray is in good condition as is the compartment beneath. The lock is original and complete but we have no key. The four silver mounted jars are in good order as are the tops. The cylindrical casket houses a badger hair brush and this is also in good condition. The right hand glass flask has one small edge chip and an incorrect top. The left hand flask is in good condition but again has an incorrect lid.
Peter Hayes (b. 1946), large flask form, black textured body, the flattened shoulder mounted with a small aperture, impressed seal and incised potter's signature dated '87. Height 34 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The neck of the flask has been broken and glued and subsequently filled with boot polish.
