A good 19th century Mintons pâte-sur-pâte moon flask decorated by Thomas Mellor, the front depicting a hound beside various game and with a hunting horn hanging from a branch with impressed monogram TM lower left, with gilt heightened and scrolling decorated side panels and gilt heightened feet, impressed no.1303, impressed and printed marks, height 14.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Very minor surface scratching, there are some rogue spots of tiny pinhead sized paint to the glaze with appear to be normal paint which has splashed on at some stage, which can easily be removed, otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
A fine cased pair of flintlock overcoat pistols by Lacy & Witton, London, early 19th Century, with browned twist barrels each signed along the top flat `Lacy & Co.`, and similarly to the border engraved locks with a starburst behind the pan, engraved safety catches, figured full stocks with rounded butts, blued trigger-guards each with pineapple finial, in mahogany case with bullet mould and powder flask, paper trade label to lid. Lacy & Witton also known as Lacy & Co. are recorded as Hardwaremen, Gunmakers & Sword Cutlers. They were appointed Contractors to Ordnance in 1832
A cased pair of English percussion cap pistols by William Dooley, Liverpool, circa 1850, each with browned twist octagonal sighted barrel signed along the top, the signed lock with scroll, foliage and border engraving, the hammers similarly decorated with sliding safety-catch behind and un-engraved silver escutcheon, each with figured walnut half-stock, chequered butt, fitted with blued steel set trigger and en graved blued steel trigger-guard with pineapple finial, in their original fitted mahogany case with flush-fitting carrying handle, lined in green baize with some accessories including bullet mould and powder flask. Wiliam Dooley was recorded at 11 Ranelagh Street, Liverpool from 1846 to 1864
