A 19th century oak case for a revolver, 12” x 6¾” x 1¾” internal, with plain brass circular lid and keyhole escutcheons. GC (no internal compartments, the lid very slightly warped); with key to case, a pewter topped rectangular glass oil bottle by Dixon, a small cap tin with printed paper label, and a reproduction embossed pistol flask.

A Peter Layton Art Glass flask vase, in the 'Landscape' pattern, etched signature 22.5cm high. Born in Prague and brought up in England, Peter Layton studied at Bradford College of Art and the Central School of Art and Design London. During the mid-1960's, whilst teaching ceramics at the University of Iowa, he chanced upon glass blowing. On his return to England he set up a small glass blowing studio at this pottery in Scotland and a glassblowing department at Hornsey College of Art. In 1976 he established his London Glass Blowing workshop in Rotherhithe where he worked with and trained many glass artists including Siddy Langley who also exhibits at the gallery.

Vogel & Co, Birmingham 1992, length 8.5cm, a George VI hallmarked silver open salt with piecrust rim and liner, William Hutton & Sons, Sheffield 1938, a hallmarked silver faced cigar cutter with initials, a hallmarked silver pepper top and a modern 925 grade small silver pepper (6).
