A George V silver hip flask by James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield 1923, of rounded rectangular form hinged bayonet lid, detachable stirrup cup with gilt interior, 14cm long, 9cm wide, weight 8.49oztCondition Report; Overall condition is good. There is heavy denting to the lid, some heavy denting to the edges and corners of the flask, and some small denting to the cup (concentrated at the edges and corners). There is moderate scratching to the exterior, with two big scratches to the front. No splitting or signs of repair.Gilt interior to the cup is in good order, but there are losses around the corners from frequent contact.Cork is still present to lid, but is split and has some loss. Bayonet clasp fastening is in working order, opening and closing smoothly and locking securely.Hallmarks are crisp.There are no inscriptions or monograms to this piece.The flask is water tight.
