An early 20th century matched Austrian silver and enamel scent flask and compact, the silver gilt flask of ovoid form, with screw cap, the compact of circular design, both decorated in similar mid-blue guilloché enamel, hexagonal Diana’s head assay mark, town mark for Vienna, 900 standard, each with different maker’s mark, (enamel damage to compact), cased, flask length 7.6cm, compact diameter 5.4cm. £120-£150 --- Condition Report Flask originally silver gilt mounted, now rubbed throughout, cap scratched, possible lose of applied detail to top of cap - evidence of tiny pierced holes, and scratches; the compact with enamel loss behind the hinge. (gilding rubbed to flask, enamel damage to compact), The set is matched - the flask original to the case, the compact a replacement piece, slightly large for the box recess. A Georgian Light Dragoon Horse flintlock holster pistol, the lock plate stamped with a grown above GR, also dated 1750, marked for Tower Armoury, numbered 575 to the stock. Presented in a later fitted box, with a period leather powder flask and cleaning kit. The pistol shows signs of light restoration and cleaning. Hammer works well.
