Ein Paar Stiftfeuerpistolen im Kasten, Jansen in Brüssel, um 1865Gezogene Oktagonalläufe im Kaliber 11 mm mit blanken Seelen, im Bereich des Patronenlagers minimal narbig, auf den Oberseiten signiert, die Unterseiten jeweils in Gold bezeichnet "1" bzw. "2". Fein gravierte Schlösser, die Unterseiten der Schlosskästen jeweils bezeichnet "Lebeda's Patent". Beschnitzte zweiteilige Halbschäfte mit kannelierten Griffen, und en suite gravierten eisernen Garnituren, die Abzugsbügel jeweils beweglich, um den Kipplaufmechanismus zu betätigen. Ein Schaft mit gerissenem Vorderschaft sowie repariertem Riss unterhalb der Schlossplatte, beide Schäfte etwas bestoßen und mit Restaurationen. Länge je 39 cm. In mit grünem Filz ausgeschlagenem Kasten mit umfangreichem Zubehör, darunter Pulverflasche, Kugelzange und Schraubendreher etc. Maße 48 x 30 x 8 cm.Zustand: IIA cased pair of pinfire pistols by Jansen of Brussels, circa 1865Rifled, bright bore, octagonal barrels in 11 mm calibre, slight pitting around the chambers, signed on the tops, the undersides numbered "1" and "2" in gold. Finely engraved locks, the undersides of the lock cases both inscribed "Lebeda's Patent". The carved, two-part half stocks with fluted grips and en suite engraved iron furniture. Pulling the front of the trigger guard unlocks the top break action. One stock with a cracked forearm and a repaired crack below the lock plate, both stocks somewhat knocked and with restorations in places. Length of each 39 cm. Complete with a case lined in green felt, containing extensive accessories, including a powder flask, bullet mould and screwdriver etc. Dimensions 48 x 30 x 8 cm.Condition: II

Pair of Percussion officer's or target pistols by Baldwin, with 9 inch octagonal rifled 32 bore barrels fitted with dovetailed nickel silver front sight, scroll engraved locks marked Baldwin and fitted with sliding safety catches, chequered stocks and adjustable triggers, fitted into a 20th century oak case containing powder flask, screw driver, Joyce cap tin, oil bottle, 60 bore bullet mould, loading rod and nipple key.Section 58(2) antique/ obsolete calibre no licence required to buy this lot, purchaser must be over the age of 18. The case measures 47cm wide. Condition report: Actions work correctly except for one safety catch.

Cased Tranter .54 bore double trigger revolver, serial number 7265T with 6 inch octagonal barrel with dovetailed front sight, fitted with Tranter's patent side loading lever, scroll engraved action and cylinder, polished double triggers, chequered walnut grip. With original mahogany case containing spare nipples, case key, James Dixon oil bottle, two screw drivers and nipple key, James Dixon powder flask, bullet mould, cleaning rod, tin of Eleys Superior percussion caps, tin of W. Tranter's Lubricating bullets, and W. Tranter's Lubricating Composition.Section 58(2) antique / obsolete calibre, can be owned without a licence.37.5cm longCondition report: The revolver has been professionally refinished to a high standard, the bluing however does not quite have the depth of original finishing and the serial number is a little faint which is a sign of some rebluing. The action is not quite working correctly, the normal trigger inside the trigger guard does not pop out when the lower trigger is depressed. The action rotates and cycles only with the lower trigger being pulled, the trigger inside the trigger guard plays no effect on the action of the gun currently. The bore has some light pitting patches internally. The screw heads show signs of being removed. There are two very minor patches of corrosion to the cap of the pistol grip. The case is generally in good order with some small scratches, dents and marks, however there is a split to the lid, and the right hand side of the lid has warped and come out of joint. There is no maker’s label to the inside of the lid. The bullet mould is not numbered to the gun. The lid of the lubricating wax is coming apart at the joins.

Pair of double barrel percussion Howda pistols by Maybury and Sons, the 6 inch 16 bore browned barrels engraved Maybury and Sons 15 St. Mary's Square Birmingham, with platinum breech plugs and fitted with swivel ramrods, the scroll engraved actions with safety catches, pineapple finial trigger guards and chequered stocks with vacant silver escutcheons, barrel wedge plates and traps to the steel butt caps. Together with a pair of boxlock pistols by Butler with 1.5 inch .54 bore barrels, fitted into a 19th century mahogany campaign case with brass mounts, and including mother of pearl decorated powder flask and various other accessories.Section 58(2) antique/ obsolete calibre no licence required to buy this lot, purchaser must be over the age of 18.The case measures 50.5cm wide Condition report: Howda pistols:One pistol has been carried whereas one has obviously stayed at home. The pistol that has been carried has significant wear and damages to the stock which have been filled in with wood filler, there are also some dents to the grip where something has been knocking against it whilst it has been carried, the escutcheon has worn through its silver to show a brass core. The pistol which has not been carried has small dents and one tiny nick to the stock but otherwise the woodwork is good with sharp chequering. Both pistols have rebrowned barrels and the rest of the metalwork has light surface pitting.The Butler pistols have a dark patina with light overall patina, neither of the barrels will unscrew.The actions of all four pistols work correctly.The case has some shrinkage splits as well as a few patched in repairs around the brass corners.

The case measures 86.5cm long Condition report: The barrels have been re-browned and now have a pleasing colour and patternation. The bores have minor pitting mainly around the last few inches but nothing too deep. The wood of the ramrod has either been replaced or cleaned up at some stage. The fittings look original. The stock has some scratches, dents and marks but has a nice patina. The metalwork has light pitting. The actions work correctly with the grip safety catch. The case has had a small repair to the wood surrounding one hinge but is otherwise free from damage. The label to the lid is a replacement, the fabric coverings have small patches of wear, moth damage and repair. There are lots of scuffs, scratches and signs of wear to the outside of the case.
