BLANCH & SON, GRACECHURCH STREET LONDON' within a scrolling border, frame engraved with foliate scrolls and 'ADAMS PATENT', numbered 20190Y, with Tranter's 2nd type ramming lever, arbor pin retained by a leaf spring, cylinder with a narrow band of engraving and having London Company proof marks, chequered wooden grip; in associated re-lined fitted case with Sykes powder flask, bullet mould, nipple key with pricker screwed into the handle, rammer, oiler, wad punch, bullet box; and offered with an alternative fitted case with William Powell trade label.

By way of this interesting design, in the words of John Deane "the orifice of the chambers is widened, so as to permit the posterior orifice of the barrel to set into them, and thereby prevent the escape of flash and gases" (quoted in Taylerson, Andrews and Frith, 'The Revolver 1818-1865')
