A group of six WWII medals, awarded to T/Major James Steward Fraser MacBeth (RA SBS), comprising a Military Cross, dated 1945 (with box), a 1939-1945 Star, Africa Star, Italy Star, Defence Medal and War Medal (MID), with miniatures, eight SAS silvered buttons, a copy of The Artists and The SAS book by B A Young, inscribed 'To Ian MacBeth from Uncle John 24 November 1968, a pewter plate, inscribed S MACBETH, 19.5 cm diameter, eight black and white photographs of MacBeth ('self'), including parachute training, with notes to reverse listing his comrades (possibly post WWII). A pair of Chinese porcelain moon flasks, (drilled) 26 cm high, a Victorian pottery plate, A Happy Christmas To You, 37.5 cm diameter, and a 19th century blue and white transfer printed pottery drainer (4) Condition report Report by RB One moon flask is drilled for electricity, and with rim chips, the dragon handles with slight loss also, the other with slight loss to the dragon handles, the drainer is crazed. The Christmas plate crazed and with a chip.
A Northern-European blown glass flask possibly late 17th century, probably Dutch, the neck with single dentil ring, etched foliate decoration and two swan neck handles, the globular body with applied segmented ribbing and gilt painted scrollwork and figures, 24cm. high. Condition: Crack to neck which extends into the upper body. Three 2in. sections missing from ribbing and one 1in. section missing. Gilt decoration dulled and with some wear.
