Fine quality early twentieth century four person picnic set by Rendall & Co, 17 Rue de la Paix, Paris - made for Sir Coleridge Kennard (whose name is embossed on the lid). The tan leather case with rising lid and fall flap front enclosing gold plated fittings including spirit kettle and burner and various accessories including enamel plates, sandwich boxes with gold plated lids, steel bladed knives and forks with bone handles, gold plated boxes, gold plated methylated spirit can and gold plated funnel and vesta case, nickel thermos flask etc, 35.5 high, 49cm wide, 24.5cm deep (Sir Coleridge Kennard (1885-1948) was immortalised in a portrait by Jacques-Emile Blanche painted in 1904 which captures him at the age of 19 as a young dandy, as he was renowned in fashionable society for his good looks. His French mother who was a friend of Oscar Wilde disapproved of the portrait and therefore it was exhibited anonymously as a portrait of Dorian Gray. Including War of Independence Medal, 1971 50th Anniversary of the Truce Medal, Irish Army Free State Officer`s sword, `Irish Republican Army Portobello Barracks` special pass issued to McGuinness as a Commandant, in 1922, commission letter dated 1 October 1924, invitation and newspaper clipping relating to the attendance of Col McGuinness at a function in the house of W. T. Cosgrave, real photographic postcard of McGuinness in a group with Cosgrave, Military Service Pensions form detailing his service, letter sent by his wife from Kerry relating to the Civil War and the burials of soldiers killed at the Battle of Kilmallock, two small pocket watches, flask, small bugle, postcard of Kevin O`Higgins, military maps used for training purposes. Also a copied photograph of McGuiness and copied documents relating to his service. A comprehensive collection relating to a high ranking Irish Army officer.

Pair of Bow figures of a Huntsman and Lady Falconer circa 1760 painted in polychrome enamels (2) 17cm high Condition report: Huntsman has old restorations to both arms, his shotgun and powder flask, one hand and his head have been restuck. the restoration is flaking where the but of the shotgun touches the base. The Falconer`s head and one arm have been restuck, there is a chip to her hat and the dogs ear, there are firing cracks to the base and manufacturing faults to her staff. There are typical losses to the applied leaves and flora on both figures.
