A Victorian silver and glass hip flask, mark of James Dixon & Son, Sheffield 1875, with pull off monogrammed cup to the glass flask upper, leather covered lower section, captive bayonet cap, 19cm high, cup 145g (4.7ozt)Glass - As far as can be seen, in good condition with no obvious sign of chips or damage.Cap - Fully operational, though not tested for liquid retention. Hallmarks and engraving clear and readable. Dent to the edge of the cover, Some minor surface scratches all over.Covering - Complete, but rather stained and a little scuffed. Stitching in good order.Cup - Some minor surface scratches all over, as to be expected. Hallmarks and engraving clear and readable. Bruise and shallow crease to the underside. Interior gilding in good order. A positive fit to the glass body.
