a silver and glass hip flask, London 1916, the glass flask of oval cross-section, having faceted straight sides, with plain detachable cup with gilt interior and circular screw-on cap, height 14.2cm. together with a Victorian silver and glass hip flask, by Thomas Johnson I, London 1868, the glass flask of ovoid form and cross-section, with detachable silver cup to base, this having engine turned decoration and gilt interior, with screw-on cap, height 14cm, (glass thread as found). A Silver Hip Flask, Brook & Son, London 1915, plain with bayonet action hinged cover, and pull off base, 14cm high, 7oz 16dwt Marked to all sections, some marks rubbed. Engraved ''R S Lees'' to reverse. Some general surface scratching throughout. Base with gilt interior. Cork to interior of cover with bit chipped off.
A Victorian Silver Hip Flask, Cohen & Charles, Birmingham 1874, oval with screw off cover and all over engraved decoration, a vacant reserve to one side, 11.5cm long, 2oz 8dwt Marked to both sides of the flask and part marked to the cover. All marks clear. Cover opens and closes well. Decoration is mostly crisp. One or two minor scuffs/knocks.
An Edwardian Silver Scent Flask, Horton & Allday, other marks indistinct, circa 1890, with screw off cover, repousse decorated with C scrolls flower and foliage on a matted ground, 15.5cm long Maker's mark is clear, Victoria head duty mark and lion passant visible, town mark and date letter indistinct. Cover fits well and closes securely. Presumably glass interior as the flask is a heavy weight. Some general knocks, scratches and wear to exterior.

A silver hip flask, William Devenport, Birmingham 1897, with hinged screw cap lid 13 cm high 133.7 grams CONDITION REPORT: The flask is in generally good condition. There are no significant dents and no visible repairs. The hinged top works well and shuts tightly. There are no engravings or any evidence of polishing out. The push on cup has caused some scratching to the underside of the flask and there is discolouration around the bottom and side seams. We have filled the flask with water and it does however seem to be watertight. The cork seal to the top is perished. The hallmarks are visible and legible but slightly rubbed.
