A carved ivory Mr. Punch walking stick or cane handle, 19th century, 1 7/8in. (4.8cm.) long; together with another carved ivory walking cane handle in the form of a male bust, possibly a Quaker, 3 3/8in. (8.5cm.) long; a carved ivory and brass seal in the form of a clenched fist; and three other carved ivory handles, one red stained. (6) * Condition: - Mr. Punch: Lacks fixing screw. A few old hairline cracks and small brown stain mark to left side of hat. - Bust cane handle: Some hairline cracks to ivory throughout. - Seal: Crack to back of fist. Otherwise good. - 3 x handles: Red stained and short ivory handles good. Long barleytwist handle has snapped piece of ivory inside the threaded hole to top.
Two Japanese carved ivory okimonos, Meiji period (1868-1912), one of a woman and child, signed to base, 2½in. (6.3cm.) high; the other of a toy seller, carrying toys including a mask, dice, book and model ship on a gnarled wooden frame on his back, 1 7/8in. (4.6cm.) high, a/f. (2) * Condition: - Woman & child: Good with no damage. Front of figure slightly sun faded. - Toy seller: Stick missing from top of wooden frame and crack to right side of the frame & toys. No other faults.
