A mahogany hall stand, second quarter of the 19th century, turned pillar with three layers of hat and coat hooks coat above stick and umbrella storage with twisted column and round pedestal base with circular metal tray and stood on three curved feet, height 197cm. Condition - very good, slight repair to moulding around base otherwise fine, no cracks or splits.

A group of brooches including a Victorian yellow metal example set with carved coral medallion of a classical female, length 45mm, an unusual Arts & Crafts style brooch with pendant loop attachment of domed target form set with cabochons, diameter 30mm, a Charles Horner sterling silver stick pin (reduced), and eight others.Additional InformationCharles Horner pin has been broken and reattached to the shaft. The yellow metal coral set brooch is unmarked. A couple of tiny chips to the edges of the stone and quite tarnished. The Arts & Crafts style brooch is unmarked and has a central screw thread presumably for an attachment at some stage. There is also a solder mark where the pendant loop meets the body of the brooch. General wear and tear to the remaining items.

The fingers ares sticking. The Rotary watch with light scratches to the glass. When wound the watch appears to be running although this is no guarantee of working order. The date aperture does stick slightly.
A pair of late 19th/early 20th century Folk Art bisque and wood nodding figures, possibly American, modelled as a seated elderly lady and gentleman with nodding heads and painted bodies, each seated on a stick chair and ebonised circular base, and each under a glass dome and on ebonised circular base, overall height 20cm.Additional InformationEach of the glass domes with some slight little nibbles around the base edge, one with a slight imperfection in the glass and with a 7cm line mark imperfection in the glass, both of the stands are lightly grubby and with age wear fading to the velvet pads giving them a two-tone brown and red discoloured look, the seated man with some cracking in the paint and some wear around the neck, the face and head are also lightly grubby, as are the hands, the wooden chair and disc base is lightly grubby and with general light wear, the seated female figure also lightly grubby throughout and wear to both shoulders where the metal wire of the nodding head rests, clothes lightly grubby and some discolouration here and there, the chair and disc base are lightly dirty throughout and with light wear.

QGC (externally pitted overall); also an antique walking stick, the haft and spherical handle carved with bands of geometric decoration in the Polynesian fashion, the handle also inset with a silver coin of Wilhelm II of Germany, and containing a concealed 15” short sword or dagger blade of triangular section. GC (hole in the side of the haft, blade fails to fully enter). (2) £40-60.
