A beech and elm Windsor chair by Samuel Snawdon, Yealmpton. With stick back, stamped mark, together with three other stick-back Windsor chairs (4).The Snawdon chair is in a good sturdy condition with firm joints but with a small amount of movement on the stick backs, the three other stick backs have firm joints, one of the backrest supports is split away from the seat.
A large Chippendale style mahogany partners desk, with red leather inset writing surface upon pedestal supports with drawers to one side and cupboard doors to the other with canted reeded corners raised on ogee bracket feet 76 x 181 x 105cmProvenance:Property of a collector, removed from Moggerhanger Park, Bedfordshire59.5 x 74.5cm kneehole. The desk comes into three parts. The broken piece is not present. There is no key present. Damage to the reeded edges, chips and nicks out of the edges and corners commensurate with age and use. Some of the drawers stick.
