Mid-19th Century Folding Parasol, wooden shaft and cream silk embroidered cover with silk fringing and tassel, cream lining intact; together with an 1820's Horn Brisé Fan, turquoise stone at both ends of rivet; and a Late 19th Century Painted Wood Fan, with metal overlay to the top and bottom of both guards, double silk leaf painted with a lady in contemporary costume taking refreshments outside, turquoise stones to top and bottom (3) Parasol - good and clean for age. Horn fan - required re-ribboning, slightly warped, at least one stick partially lacking. Wood fan - paint worn, leaf rubbed.

Late 19th Century Mother-of-Pearl Fan, signed by Boillat, with gauze painted leaf surrounded by hand made Brussels bobbin lace, the lace unusually featuring trees which border the vignettes, one of which depicts a maiden robed in pink reaching for foliage, the other panels depicting tranquil scenery and birds in flight, with a large silk tassel, bone leaf supports, mother-of-pearl engraved and carved to sticks and guard sticks, contained in cream silk box; a Late 19th Century Machine Lace and Bone Fan, the cream floral lace alternating with panels of painted gauze, depicting lemon flowers, daisies and birds, with both sticks; and an Early 20th Century Mother-of Pearl and Gilded Shaped Fan, cream fabric leaf depicting courting couple in earlier costume, two side vignettes depicting pairs of doves, both guard sticks carved with a figure, flowers and foliage to top quarter (3) Provenance (Bolliat): Previous auctioneer label for Mitchell's, 28/05/98Late 19th Century Fan - lower guard stick broken and repaired in two places, some folds in gauze getting thin, lace very slightly discoloured, MOP with greeny tinge. Bone and lace fan - very slight foxing on leaf, generally sound. Mother-of-pearl - foxing and wear to leaf, particularly to the left side, staining visible from behind, glue residue.

Late 19th Century Large Black Lace Fan, on tortoiseshell sticks, the tortoiseshell continuing to the top of the fan as leaf supports, design of flowers, swags and foliage, contained in original box with cream silk lining; together with a Mid-19th Century Tortoiseshell Brisé Fan, with seventeen sticks and two guard sticks (2) Provenance (lace fan): Previous auction ticket attributing to Sotheby's Sale, Stanstead Park and the Earl of Bessborough 5/10/99Lace fan - some wear to lace, top right corner where petrudes from guard stick, after the first stick in from the left and in several places at the lower edge of the leaf adjoining the gorge. Brisee - silk ribbon split requiring replacement, some rubbing.

Early 19th Century Chinese Finely Carved Ivory Brisé Fan, with a dense design of buildings and figures, a central vignette left plain for initials, twenty one sticks to guard sticks, the latter more deeply carved, together with original box covered in floral silk and with pink silk inner shaped insert Some tiny slivers missing to several sticks, one stick slightly nibbled at the side, otherwise in good sound condition for age.
