An unusual early 20th century novelty Christofle silver plated cocktail stick holder modelled as a stylised beast holding aloft a ring raised on one foot, overall mounted on a circular spreading base, stamped to the base, height 15.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: The ring is misshapen, otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.

Ca. 50-10 BC. Obv: head of Dionysos left, the ivy wreath resembling a radiate crown. Rev: legend degraded to dots, Herakles, naked, standing facing as a stick figure with sun-like head and two fingers on each hand representing him standing left, holding club and lion skin.
