A Regency mahogany cased stick barometer, the silvered dial inscribed "William Hawks Grice Bond Street" (circa 1818-23), 93 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Case and fittings appear contemporary (19th Century). Please note that we can make no guarantees as to whether or not in working order. 93 cm high
A George III silver chamberstick, the dish of circular form with applied beaded decoration and engraved cartouche with foliate and ribbon decoration, together with a conical snuffer with scrolling handle, both the snuffer and drip tray engraved with initials (John Schofield, London, 1784), 9 cm high, approx 9.5 oz CONDITION REPORTS Drip tray is mis-shapen. The chamber stick tray has been repaired at the handle and it is coming through. There are some small dents to the bottom rim. Base is not quite level and the edges are mis-shapen. All items have surface scratches, tarnish. Some minor knocks, etc.
A circa 1900 embossed brass stick stand of grape hod form, decorated with armour and shields amongst scrolling acanthus in the Medieval Revival taste, 75.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Base has had some repairs to the edges. Inside appears extremely corroded. General wear and tear, including pitting, rubbing, scratches, some dents, areas of patination. See images for details.
George III gold memoriam ring of a child FRAs COLHOUN OB 27 NOV 1775 Æ 5W 2D in white enamel, the oval tablet with a funerary scene and a lock of hair; also a Victorian black lacquer memoriam brooch with a rope twist frame and window of scrolled hair, width 7.5cm; and a memoriam stick pin dated 1889 (3); Condition report: Brooch: 74mm x 60mm; lacquer good; pin and mounting plate have lost the gold plating; the metal decoration around the central display is complete but detached in a couple of places. Ring: enamel chipped in many places but is continuous; minor abrasion on the crystal; the funery urn in the display is initialled FC. Pin: small chip to the enamel; the pin has been soldered over the date on the back of the oval.
Minton Secessionist ware vase and candlestick, tube lined with stylised floral patterns on yellow and blue coloured grounds, printed marks and No.s 1 and 46 to base, (2) the candle stick measures 15.5cm high Condition report: Minor nicks to the tube lined decoration. No restoration or other damages. Overall crazing.
German Third Reich Medal for the Annexation of the Sudetenland (Czechoslovakia) 1st October 1938. A good cased bronze example with ribbon retaining brooch pin fitting. Housed in its dark maroon case, the lid embossed with gold eagle and swastika. VGC ... in the case there are also two stick pins, one a double award of the Iron Cross the other a DLRG member’s badge.
