Two cast gilt metal mouldings run above and around the perimeter of the rosewood veneered skirting. Raised on six turned and reeded legs with engraved brass collars, three cross-banded drawers with brass handles beneath the skirting. The keywell in rosewood with brass inlay, the nameboard with two pierced panels, at its centre a crown above a gilt rectangular plaque flanked by foliate gilt scrollwork inscribed: Imperial Patent, CLEMENTI & COMPY LONDON. The six octave keyboard CC-c4 with ivory naturals and ebony accidentals. Double action with mop-stick over-dampers. Two pedals operate the dampers and the 'Bridge of harmonic swell and reverberation'. A paper label gives: DIRECTIONS for the USE of the PEDALS.
