A palm wood swagger stick, c.1900, with white metal top, with repoussé decoration, 77cm long, together with a similar example, with yellow metal top, 94cm long, and three parasols, two with yellow metal ends, the other with a horn handle (5)Condition report: Knocks, losses, splits and wear throughout.
A CASED PAIR OF 54-BORE FLINTLOCK BOXLOCK POCKET PISTOLS, 1.5inch barrels with scallop engraved muzzles, border and scroll engraved bronze actions, sliding safeties, folding trigger's, contained in a mahogany case with commensurate accessories, the lid with trade label for JOHN BURCON, lower tray withdraws and contains a candle stick with provision to mount it. The casing is typical of those created during the Victorian and later eras.
A LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY OFFICER'S OR EXPEDITION WALKING STICK, the bentwood crook handle and haft with iron mounts to the lower portion, these with hidden latch and twist action revealing an iron dagger with 15cm fullered tapering blade that attaches to the base of the stick similarly to a bayonet, 96cm long over all.
A LATE VICTORIAN TOPER'S WALKING STICK, the ivory knop carved with deep relief panels of figures and palm trees below a draughts counter, the silver collar hallmarked for Birmingham 1897 and with maker's mark W.W, the wooden haft containing a 35cm long glass spirit flask and a small shot thimble, brass ferrule, 90cm long over all.
