PAIR OF EARLY 19TH CENTURY FRUIT WOOD STICK BACK OPEN ARMCHAIRS having upholstered drop in seats, standing on square tapering legs and stretcher. (2)(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Appearing structurally sound. Evidence of woodworm to the back of one of the legs and woodworm evident in other parts of the both chairs. Wear and tear commensurate with age especially around the feet area, scratches and losses over all.
19TH CENTURY WELSH PRIMITIVE STICK BACKED FIRESIDE ELBOW CHAIR in mixed woods with elm seat on turned legs. 68cm wide. Together with another 19th Century primitive stick back chair having rectangular moulded sycamore seat on four turned legs. (2)(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: The bow backed chair has some damage to the top rail with losses, split to the seat, basically sound. The other chair is sound but has evidence of old worming in the seat.
19TH CENTURY STAINED BEECH AND MIXED WOODS WINDSOR STICK BACK FARMHOUSE ARMCHAIR having scroll arms on a slab seat with turned underframe and stretcher. (B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Structurally sound with no obvious sideways movement. Heavy wear in places, scuffs and marks commensurate with age.
UNUSUAL ORIENTAL, POSSIBLY JAPANESE SWORD STICK, carved as a tree branch and having an ivory snake crawling through it, 46cm blade, overall 87.5cm long approx. (B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Some wear commensurate with age, minor loss to the scabbard which appears to be splitting down each side.
BLACK FOREST STYLE STICK STAND in the form of a seated fox with stylized trunk and twigs on a naturalistic base. 82cm high approx. (B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Noticeable chip to one of the foxes ears, there are some chips and nicks in other areas and some splits to the foxes body, splits to the trunk and in other areas. General wear commensurate with age.
