Two late 19th/early 20th Century silhouettes The first in the manner of Mrs Harrington, depicting a lady wearing a bonnet in profile, mounted in an oak frame, 10.5x7cm, the second depicting a young gentleman holding a swagger stick and dressed in cap and suit before a naturalistic landscape, mounted in oak frame, 28x17cm (2). CONDITION REPORT: Please note there is an uncertainty of date therefore both have been catalogue as 19th/20th Century Smaller: Bloom visible to the black silhoutte area, small areas of foxing, slight staining to the edges, please note the picture hasn't been removed from frame so therefore the condition of verso and edges is unknown. Larger: Foxing visible to the paper, black vibrant and free from bloom, please note hasn't been removed from frame, so therefore condition of edges and verso is unknown.
Pair of Dutch Gouda candlesticks Of tapering cylindrical form, each with circular drip trays having stylised designs in a cobalt blue and turquoise ground, factory marks to base, height 38cm, together with a further Gouda cylindrical taper stick, height 24cm. CONDITION REPORT: Lot 533: One has had many breaks to wax holder and stick, other both good, smaller stick good.
A mahogany and brass cistern stick barometer, in the manner of Daniel Quare, signed Bracegirdle, London, the brass break arch top with three finials, the left and right turning to operate the pointers, the partially fluted column on a square plinth with cast brass folding feet. 106cm Note: This barometer is a copy of a form developed by Daniel Quare at the turn of the 18th century, however several examples of this pattern exist that are signed by John Patrick.
