A jewelled and gold-mounted nephrite parasol handle Charles Cooke London 1910 retailed by Brigg of tapering cylindrical form the handle set with two bands of garnets the gold collar engraved with initials: D.M.H. height 9cm 3.5in Charles Cooke was the primary mounter of sticks canes and umbrellas for Brigg and Sons of St. James's Street London. Initially in business with his brother John Robert Cooke until 1888 he is listed at a series of addresses in Soho. His last address from 1907 to 1916 was 4 Rigmount Street Bedford Square where he is listed as a stick mounter.. (See J.
