Two Victorian novelty walking canes: 1. a 'Sunday stick' with plated metal putter handle stamped to reverse with a crown (93 cm). 2. an 85 cm cane with carved bulldog handle (lacks ferrule). - Putter: Flaking to plating on the putter head. Partial split to ferrule.- Bulldog: Chip to tip of one ear and above one eye. Some wear to natural bark surface to lower few inches of cane. Original ferrule missing.
Metalware to include: a late 19th century Japanese patinated bronze Meiji period vase decorated in high relief with geese amongst tendrils, two bands of script with Japanese characters and moulded mark below (24 cm); an early 19th century Sheffield plated chamber-stick (minus handle and snuffer); a modern bronzed composition sculpture of a recumbent horse, initialled S.J. and dated 1980; a pewter teapot and 19th century copperware.
