There appears to be a repair on the left hand outer stick which appears to have been snapped and tied together with a bow. A 19th Century Thames Valley yew wood beech and elm stick back elbow chair with shaped seat on turned legs united by turned stretchers CONDITION REPORTS Numerous surface scratches, gouges to the wood, accretions, some fading and wear of the varnish. There is also evidence of old woodworm mainly to the front of the seat. Evidence of what appear to be numerous repairs, mainly to the back of the seat, the arm rests and to areas of the legs. Some splits in the wood, mainly based around the legs and stretcher. Accretions and stains, scratches and scuffs all over.
