Kitchener comprising of a felt covered water flask; riding whip; metal sap; 19th century 'Kohler & Son' bugle; brass car horn; Ross binoculars in leather case "HJK" (Kitchener); swagger stick, all contained in tin chest marked 'CAPT H.T. KITCHENER B.M.A. (M).
A 19TH CENTURY CONTINENTAL SWORD STICK, 68cm flattened diamond section blade decorated with blued scrolling foliage and traces of a gilt ground, characteristic hoof form hilt composed of horn, there is a suggestion that this is rhinoceros horn, foliate engraved gilt collar, contained in its malacca case, the pommel of the handle applied with a yellow metal regimental device.
AN EARLY 19TH CENTURY SWORD STICK, 61cm pipe backed blade with spear point, decorated with scrolling foliage and flower heads highlighted in gilt on a faded blue ground, characteristic malacca body, the pommel of yellow metal and engraved with a garter NEC ASPERA TERRENT and the crests of a Scotsman with targe and sword and a crowned lion emerging from a crown. Splitting to grip. Together with another sword stick, late 19th Century with plain blade and contained in its tooled leather wooden body. (2)

A pair of 19th century Russian 84 zolotnik Sabbath Day candlesticks, retailed by J. Goldman, dated 1879, 32cm, gross 29 oz (a.f).CONDITION: One stick has a bent stem with a repair and the base is dented and very mis-shapen. The other sick has a dented base, also mis-shapen but not as bad. Both in need of attention.
