A George I silver taper stick, by James Gould , London circa 1722, knopped tapering hexagonal stem, hexagonal capital, on a raised hexagonal base, height 11cm, approx. weight 2.9oz. Provenance: A Private Collection.Amendment: There is no apparent date letter on the taperstick. The maker’s mark was registered circa 1722
A suite of three late 19th century German silver standing cups, one with maker's mark of Neresheimer of Hanau, with import marks for London 1896 and 1897, importer's mark of Berthold Muller, lobed tapering circular bows, embossed foliate scroll decoration, the larger on a figure stem of gentleman holding a stick, the two others with a lady and gentleman, on raised circular bases, height of larger 21cm, height of smaller 17.2cm, approx. weight 17oz. (3) Provenance: Alfred William Weston (1892-1950) Then passed down to his daughter and then inherited by her godson, the current owner.

A leather fire bucket with brass rivets, stamped 'Made in England' beneath, 25cm diameter; an antique oriental brass bound box with painted floral bands, 50cm wide; and a cylindrical leather stick stand in the form of a cordite case, 24cm diameter, 50cm high (3)The leather fire bucket with broken handle, in otherwise used condition; the box with minor marks and damages overall due to age and use, the brass mount to the front top right corner dented, the brass mount to the back left corner partially detatched, the leather covering to the back of the box detatched and in need of repair, the right hand handle detatched and present but lacking one bracket; the stick stand with fading to the leather and coat of arms, water marks and only moderate condition overall.
A GOOD .625 BAKER PATTERN 1805 FLINTLOCK SERVICE RIFLE MARKED TO THE 1ST BATTALION 95TH (RIFLE ) REGT. serial no A / 48, with 30 1/2ins twist iron barrel rifled with seven grooves, and stamped with the Kings proofs, fitted with a sword bayonet bar at muzzle, the front-sight being a blade on a thin base, the rear-sight with a fixed vee leaf and a single hinged leaf, flat pattern lock stamped "TOWER" on the tail and bearing the crown "G.R." cypher to the centre together with the small crown arrow ordnance inspection stamp, and having the raised semi-waterproof pan, border line engraved flat ring neck cock, regulation brass mounted full walnut stock with slit pattern fore-end devised that the ramrod would not stick or jam, the butt with cheek rest on the left side and on the right is fitted a rectangular brass patchbox containing a set of original Baker implements, scroll trigger-guard, and two rammer pipes, the butt-cap engraved '95th / 1 / A / 48', the rifle is complete with its sling swivels and correct ramrod. Liege-proved barrel-group, the front mounted with a square-section thrusting dagger with 5 1/2in. blade signed 'PARIS-BREVETTE', the barrel group pulling forwards against a spring revealing a small nipple and locking on a bar trigger, the body marked 'PARIS', cane-covered handle bored through with a lanyard aperture and fitted with white metal mounts, the front mount signed 'PARIS-BREVETTE' and with button trigger, the weighted pommel of twist design swelling at the top, the whole inserting into the cane shaft with brass tip
